Lori will start a new thread about a week before the end of the month, and will also post here that the new swap is open. Just keep your eyes peeled. :)

Glad you liked the slippers. It's always difficult when you have the same person twice in a row (skipped December and January) - I always feel as if I put my best effort in first time round and am usually stumped as to what to send next time, lol! So pleased you like the fabric too :)

Aussie: thank you so much for my wonderful package. It arrived yesterday.

Snow? Well this winter didn't deserve my new winter coat. We had snow on Christmas & that was it. Usually February is COLD. So far the only warm sunshine. My apricot tree is blooming & my flowers are coming up.

Quilty-Louise 02-18-2015 12:26 PM

Linda,

I am so glad you liked what I sent to you.

Nice to see all the pkgs coming in! Believe it or not we're expecting low 30's in SWFL Friday morning! I actually welcome it since in a few mths we'll be hit with heat and humidity.

I received my sp package from LaQuita last week and sent her the pm but didn't get it posted here. Lots of stuff going on, stress at work, and dgdaughter had hernia surgery on Thurs. it was out patient and she did fine and has spent a couple of days resting.

So here is a pic of my wonderful package from LaQuita, she made a sweet flower pincushion, and included 3 kitchen towels, yardage of pastel fabrics, some nifty notions--a tape measure that is magnatized and there is a metal tab you can pin onto your shirt and it will stick to it, and a little case with a snap down lid that I'm sure will be so useful, as is the cute purse notebook, which came just in time as I think I was down to only a few blank pages in the memo book I currently have in my purse. And some tootsie rolls and cute mini tootsie pop. Thank you again LaQuita for a delightful package!:)

I received a wonderful package from Wanda Lou this past Friday. (Had a sick laptop this weekend). I am sorry I was not able to post sooner. Guess my new phone I get when this one bites the big one will need to be a smart phone so I can get online with it. Thank you so much for the goodies, magazines, fabric, patterns, thread, hankie, and I know there is more, but it won't come to my old mind. Thanks!

Oksewnsew 02-23-2015 01:00 PM

Well, Hallelujah, and pass the bread!!! My pkg to my SP FINALLY arrived at 2:00... I'm hoping she will let me know, and post a picture. It went Priority Mail on the 13th, she was to receive it on the 17th...I kept getting notices from the PO that "they had encountered a problem, and pkg. was being held at processing station"! I called several places to try and find out what the problem was, funny NOT, no one could tell me a thing!!! I was getting very distressed. I got a notice this morn that it was in ???? (lolo) and was out for delivery. Just a few mins. ago I got the message it had been delivered (2:00)...soooo, now I can breathe, hope everything is intact.. Love paying a fortune to mail something and told it'll be couple days, and a week & half later it arrives - and this is within a state of me!!! aarruuuggghhh.

wanda lou 02-24-2015 06:35 AM

I am so happy you like the hankie, when I seen it at the Ohio Valley Antique Mall I thought for sure you would like it. You will have to post pictures of the quilt when its done.

I still haven't heard from my partner, but it had to go a long way.

LovingMadisonLouise 02-24-2015 10:37 AM

My pal lives in TX. I mailed on the 10th, but haven't heard if it arrived.

Well, doesn't seem the Secret Pal I had is going to acknowledge the package sent to her, so I will. A post on here or a PM would have been nice - and YES it has been delivered.

Anoka Quilter 02-24-2015 12:37 PM

Did you have a tracking number so you can confirm it it was received? If it has been delivered I would contact Lori and let her know you have not heard from you SP.

It is one thing not to post pictures, I couldn't post pictures one month because my camera broke and I could not get the photos from my cell phone to load on to the board. However, to not send a PM to let you know the package arrived is not very considerate of them. Hopefully the person is on vacation someplace fun and warm and will PM you soon.

Yes it has definitely been delivered! Lori has been kept up-to-date, too. I posted on here that the package had been delivered, so everyone knows I did my due diligence. Not worried about her posting a pic, just think it's rude to not say SOMETHING!!!

OKsewnsew, what a great box. Sorry you have not heard from your SP. Be sure to let Lori know.

Sibi 02-24-2015 11:31 PM

Hello there everyone. Haven't been in a swap since November...just took a short break. But I've been checking out all the lovely packages! Think I'll join in the fun for March. Oksewnsew....I absolutely LOVE that owl pincushion you made for your SP. Any chance you can tell me where to find that pattern? I love owls and my nephew's wife is also owl crazy and I'd love to make one of those for her. Would appreciate it a lot! See ya'll in March :)

aussie croydon 02-25-2015 01:58 AM

I have just received my February Secret Pal. Thanks so much. Another Aussie who lives not far from me in the same state. In fact my best friend lives in the same town. Its a small world.!!!

Sorry, Gwyn. I left on the 12th for my daughter's wedding in London (thought I had posted this on the thread) and returned early this morning. Hubby took the mailbox key. He left work early and I finally received the box! Thanks so much. Will post pictures soon. Pat (heronfan)

Knitette 02-26-2015 11:31 PM

Lovely photo Pat! How did you like London?

quilting jem 02-27-2015 02:43 PM

I got a wonderful surprise in my letterbox this morning from my secret pal! Can't wait to get home and have a proper look at everything!

Oksewnsew 02-28-2015 09:27 PM

I hate to beat a dead horse, but you know, it's really sad when someone takes the time and effort to find things a person wants, spends postage to send the package and absolutely NOTHING is ever posted about receiving it!! I am still anguishing over the fact that my partner? didn't say a word about it. These are things I could use - I'm wishing I had my things back!! It's been 6 days since she received the package. I mean, even if she didn't like the items, she could respond to receiving the box! This went to happystitchermm (Mary Hughes) in Columbia, Mo. I didn't see any postings when I was sent her name so questioned whether she was in or not. Lori said 'oh yes, she's been in several, she just let me know she's in'... WELL, I should have listened to my gut and not sent anything to someone that doesn't post. I feel for anyone else that she's done this to! Lori hasn't even let me know if Mary contacted her! This WILL be the last time I join any swaps - I'm sick of getting ripped off!!! I don't have the money to spend on someone that doesn't appreciate the gifts I send!

aussie croydon 03-01-2015 01:03 AM

I am so sorry you have had a bad experience, it is so unfair when you put in the effort and it is not acknowledged.

letsquilt 03-01-2015 12:19 PM

I'm sorry for you also, but it could be possible that something has happened that's out of her control.
Possible illness.

Vitality 03-01-2015 12:32 PM

Had the same thing happen to me recently OKsewnsew…. not this month on this swap, but before.. and in other swaps I've done recently.

I've also decided to give up on swaps for a while…

The package you sent was wonderful! I love the owl!

TPr9258 03-01-2015 01:59 PM

I am sorry that you have had a bad experience but remember good out weighs the bad, and although people shouldn't have to be told to say thank you, our mothers didn't raise them, lol.

Anoka Quilter 03-01-2015 10:04 PM

OKsewnsew I feel your frustration. Hopefully your person it's out of town and even though the package was delivered she just hasn't opened it yet. Luckily when I travel I have people who house sit, or my husband is at home, to let me know the package was received.
