oo, such cute blocks being posted. I have been out of town visiting my grandson. I went out today and bought some background and accent fabrics today. I have very little Halloween fabrics right now. But, found some great fabrics to get started with. They are running through the washer and dryer right now. I can't wait to start on my blocks.

Hi girls! Happy Fourth of July! I have a house full of company coming, so I don't have long to chat. I started my third set it is a green jack o lantern on a orange and black background. I think you gals will like it.

We are up to sixteen in the swap! How fun, huh? I am excited to see them too pamsue!

Hi Judith! We were wondering where you were. I hope you had a great time.

I bet it is cute Klaws! I have had such a good time making mine for the swap. I have two sets finished and working on the third. The last set is a bat I think.

Have a spooky fun time working on yours and share if you can.

Red

Yes I just got into a hurry Billi and didn't have time to re-size that one. Sorry, it will be a surprise to the girls when they get it.

I was hoping that was ok with you billi. Thanks, we had a good time together yesterday. We ate til we could hold no more, laughed, picked some cherries and played corn hole.

Here is the green pumpkin girls. It is 12 1/2 by 9 1/2.

Everyone's blocks look really festive!

klaws 07-06-2014 02:49 AM

Love the pumpkin, Red. I've got a perfect idea for a block and will try to put it together today. If it comes out right, I will post a picture.

RedGarnet222 07-06-2014 08:36 AM

Thanks muse and Klaws! I am looking forward to seeing some of your blocks soon girls. It was nice of you to comment on my green pumpkin so favorably. I wasn't sure about it when I started it, but it turned out ok.

I found this really cute block but it has a fabric bow that is attached after quilting. If I was to pin the bow to each block so it would not get lost would people be ok with that?

klaws 07-07-2014 03:03 AM

Anything goes!

Once again it's okay with me. I think it sounds adorable. :)

RedGarnet222 07-07-2014 08:34 AM

I can't see why not if it is temporary and can be removed for the quilting. It sounds so cute!

I have in the past sewn the eyes to my name tag and sent them that way. But if it is pinned why not??

Ok Red and everyone. Here is my first block. It's not completely sewn together but you get the picture. This is my sample. It turned out exactly how I had hoped but I need to make a few minor adjustments. It is a 12 1/2" block. I think I might run out of the orange spider web fabric so I will probably have to substitute something else in it's place. I hope you like it.

Here is the trick or treating kitty gals! I think it came out cute! The ghost costume is a silvery sparkly fabric.

Judith1005 07-08-2014 03:01 PM

owlvamp 07-08-2014 03:57 PM

Thanks so much Judith and owlvamp! I can't take credit for it though. It is part of a wall hanging pattern I bought some time ago. I just needed one last block to finish up my sets. So, that was it. LOL!

klaws 07-08-2014 04:45 PM

That is too adorable! Love it.

RedGarnet222 07-08-2014 04:51 PM

I had a feeling you would like it Klaws! LOL... I made it in honor of my late kitty Sampson. I really miss him. He was around for over twenty years and so playful and spry right until the end. Everyone in my family had a different great story about him to tell.

Such a cute idea! I love him - you may have to make enough for everyone to have one!

RedGarnet222 07-09-2014 02:30 PM

Thanks so much! I will see what kind of time I have, we will see.

Anoka Quilter 07-09-2014 10:27 PM

Here's my second block. I haven't stitched him down yet but you get the idea. It's a 6 1/2" block.

owlvamp 07-10-2014 09:10 AM

Okay I will have to go back to the drawing board for I was going to do a cat and ghost... Doing a snowball block and a four patch... Maybe will see about doing a rail fence block ...
