what an adorable pincushion/bag. love the fabric.
does anyone here like this?? as it is now. I'm booked on the rolls, but in about 4 months, my schedule opens up, so i'd switch to something like this. just courious |
Lynnie I never thought of using one on the arm of my chair. Great idea. I plan on doing a lot of hand sewing/embroidery in the near future after I get some more knitting done.

they are great for hand sewing. you have your pincushion right there and a junk bag.
just my opinion on the matter. keep all the snippets in one spot. always looking for a new idea. |
That is nice Karen. That is the kind I was talking about. Hadn't seen the one with detachable thing. That way a person could change out with different workable pincushions too.

Here is a picture of the one that I downloaded the pattern. I liked this because it has a detachable pincushion.

I went to Pinterest and searched for pincushion with thread catcher. That's where I saw all kinds of different ones. There were some really nice ones that had a little loop where you could put scissors. I think I'm going to make a couple for the next pincushion swap. This is where I downloaded the pattern for the one I liked.

I love those thread catchers/pincushions! Who wouldn't??

That is a great idea. I have a thread/fabric catcher that is sewn into my ironing board cover.

a fabric mfg. would make a killing if they put that on a panel all fancy like.
