It must be me! Ohio has 88 counties, and I like fabric!

Ray spent the entire trip asleep in my lap and just as we got home he wet my leg...I do wish he would use the box we provide him wether in the car or the van.

Now, my SP's most favorite fabric is one I like too, and she lives in a state where I grew up and in 8th grade I had to memorize all 88 counties...and she hasn't posted too much on this thread this month...tttthhhattt's all folks......

Anyways the "bribe" I had to do was...If he doesn't make his secret pal something...by hand or machine....that he wouldn't be allowed to participate in the secret pal swap anymore. NO I DID NOT tell him that it was in the rules (its not in the rules is it? And I missed it?) but that everyone likes to get something homemade. And so he grumbled and grumbled loud. I pulled out some fabric and set it in front of him and said here pick something out and I will teach you how to make pot holders and that they are really easy to do. So after MORE grumbling...and I DONT WANT TO DO THE SWAP ANYMORE....if I have to sew. LOLOL This is what fabric he chose...So to the person that lives WAYYYYYYYYYY WAYYYYYYYYYYY far East, I hope that you like his potholders. He chose the halloween fabric out of all the fabrics I showed him....but it really didn't surprise me. So I hope that you like them and will use them. And heres another hint to his secret pal....You said you were still thinking about your least favorite candy...so he tossed in some Hot tamales. LOL And your zipcode adds up to 25. Your package gets mailed out on Tuesday. :)

Neat Charles, beautiful Pot holders...

Thank you Sheila. Thomp sounds like maybe enough for both of us.

Airwick Charles did a wonderful job on the pot holders.

Thompson just might be surprised someday! Her and walk-n-roll have been picking on me because I have made so many quilts for family. Their argument is that I see them more often then my family( they all live in different states) so they should get a quilt too! They are both very experienced, talented, creative ladies and I am just a beginner- actually Kris (Thomp116) is the one that got me started quilting, she is my teacher, mentor and friend. My argument is that my quilts are so simple and basic that I don't feel I am on a level to make them one yet. Someday! :)

It is with a very sad heart that I write to ask my quilting friends to pray for my family. My oldest daughter Tabitha and her husband George suffered a tragic loss on New Years evening. Their youngest daughter Emma, 7 months old passed away in her sleep. At this time all indications are that it was SIDS. I will be around, but may not post much for a little while, but I will be around and I will send my SP's package by the dead line. I do not know if I will be able to include anything homemade as of yet.

Such a beautiful little girl, I am so sorry for your loss. Lori

Hello all you SP swappers. I have missed being here, but spent most of December in Florida visiting my mom and brother and SIL for the holidays. Unfortunately, I could not take my computer and my mother's has been broken for almost a year, so I had to miss December. I thought I would be able to join for January, but I did not get home until 12/31, and it looks like January signup was earlier than normal, so I missed this month, too. But, I'll be back in Feb for sure.

Arizona Girl - I'm soooo deeply sorry for the loss of your daughter's beautiful baby girl, Emma. May God hold her and your family gently in his hands and heart, and ease your pain with peace.

candi 01-03-2012 12:09 AM

Robyn, I am so very sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Wow, I am behind on this thread, too busy to keep up here, lol, but I did see a few hints about packages heading South, lets all narrow it down just a bit, ok?

Ok my dear pals, one of you posts on this thread and one you doesn't. I will start working on your pakcages tomorrow!

Robyn, how heart breaking. I am so very sorry. You have had a very difficult year. I cannot imagine the depth of your and your daughter's pain right now.

Krystyna 01-03-2012 04:46 AM

Quilty Louise thank you for the men quilting links. I'm going to show them to my husband. Ever since we started going to quilt shows he has become a "perfect points" inspector. He does a lot of cutting for me for my veils and is very meticulous so I think he'd make a great piecer.

Diana Lynne 01-03-2012 05:09 AM

Krystyna..can I borrow your husband for a bit? I am terrible at cutting and measuring:D..Diana

Oh Robyn, my heart is heavy for you and your family in the loss of your precious Emma. I know the days ahead will seem endlessly dark and your heart forever broken..... please know my husband and I will be wrapping you and your family in our prayers.

Should you have my name in SP swap, I would consider the importance of sending me a package null and void....take care of yourself first and don't worry about sending a package, should you have my name.

quiltymom 01-03-2012 06:57 AM

Robyn, I'm so sorry for your family loss what a beautiful child. My heart just breaks for the loss. I have a granddaughter too I would be ever so heart broken if I was to loose her. My many prayers are with you and your family!!!

Forget it Diana. Although I am slowly retraining him, he is a meat and potatoes guy.

Who's in?

Quilty-Louise 01-03-2012 08:07 AM

Robyn,
You and your family are in my heart as this horrible time of
loss for you all.

If you find that you can not continue with your sp let me know
I will GLADLY (as I know many others would also) step up to fill
in for you. I am pretty sure that everyone may (I hope) agree
with me that at this time a SP swap is the last thing you need
to think about.

My heart and love goes to your family.

Hugs dear lady.
