i wanna say yes but i feel like i need to regroup this next swap. my swap tub is overflowing with stuff plus i think i still got stuff in bags and boxes that couldnt fit in the tub so i need to participate to clear up some room. i'm feeling brain dead right now from all the chain sewing i have been doing. and i like to make handmade things for my swap partners.
i'm gonna give myself up to the signup deadline to decide. perhaps new brain cells would have regenerated by then.:D |
Just signed up,enjoy the swaps
|
Havplenty it wouldn't be the same without you so I hope your brain cells regenerate fast! Take your time and think about it and let me know.

Welcome to all the new people signing up for the January
SP swap. You will have fun. Lori I did a search for the "Happy Daisy Quilt Pattern" and found several different patterns so I am not sure what the one you are looking for looks like. I will post some links though soon as I complete my search. AND I will be looking for the FREE designs.. Now don't these look cute and more important FUN? I am trying to figure out a "fun" way of incorporating these into the swaps to be like Lori's cat earrings that will be a "traveling" from swapper to swapper. It would be a "SNOWBALL FIGHT" via mail. Don't know how to do this just yet will have to think about it some more. Any ideas? |
I have FINALLY finished the embroidery designs of the
sleigh and 9 reindeer. Will post pictures once I have them "cleaned" up (meaning the removal of jump threads and stabilizer). What surprised me the most is I did not run out of the gold thread because if I had I would have had to switch to another brand and shade of gold as the one I used was a discontinued color from RA. |
Wishing you all a Happy Holiday!
|
Merry Christmas everyone:thumbup:

Merry Christmas Everyone! Have a Great Day! Welcome to all the new swappers. It is snowing here and there is so much vapor on the water it looks like fog. I guess I will stay tucked in my new quilt a friend gave me for Christmas. Every time I saw her working on this quilt, I told her they were my colors and I would ask her from time to time how near my quilt was finished. I couldn't believe it when I recieved it for a Christmas gift. I was just fooling with her, but she said that she would not feel like she could give it to anyone else, since it was made with my colors~pink & green. She said that I would appreciate it the most. It is a beautiful quilt. I told her that it was a gift and a half. It took her a lot of time and money. She even had it longarmed for me. It was the most thoughtful gift ever.

Questions for everyone
1 Attachment(s)
I have a few questions to ask you all about some of YOUR
sewing/quilting/cutting gadgets, notions, fabric, and rulers. First let me say that I am BACK to trying to clean my stupid sewing room. I got started on it, but didn't get it finished before my youngest daughter came home for a few days of her winter break from college. So now that she is gone (again), I am TRYING to make sure it gets done before my classes start up on January 17. In the process of this cleaning I have came across MANY things that I know I use and was wondering if anyone else uses them also or would use if they had? What kind of ruler(s) do you have/use? (brand and sizes). Do you like "panel" fabrics such as tree skirts, aprons, tote bags etc? Do you use the "color" marking tape for rulers? (called "glow line tape, see picture below). What kind of gadgets and/notions do YOU like to use? Does anyone like/use fabric scraps? with or without fusible on it (or both)? I am TRYING to "downsize" some of my sewing room stuff that I have multiples of (EXCEPT my scissors and rotary cutters), and thought about maybe adding items or so to the the SP boxes and/or RAK. Omnigrid Glow Line Tape for rulers MERRY CHRISTMAS (for those who celebrate) HAPPY HOLIDAYS (for those who DO NOT celebrate) |
