Brenda I'm pretty sure she just took a hexigon and went from there!

BDawn 07-07-2013 09:25 AM

Sheri, what a beautiful talent your daughter has. Love her quilt:thumbup:

starshine 07-07-2013 11:58 AM

Sheri Did you also post a picture in the Pictures thread. Your daughter's quilt is really innovative and if she doesn't mind a lot of people seeing it I think it will be a popular post in Pictures. I really like her creativity.

mrs.sherbert 07-07-2013 04:36 PM

I am the daughter! Thanks for the compliments! I felt a little guilty being "lazy" and not doing all hexagons, but I LOVE how it turned out! I did share how I made the hexagons on my blog. http://sherbertcafe.blogspot.com/201...-tutorial.html. I haven't updated my site in a while due to sme moving around with the military. But hopefully I will post more soon!

As I told your mom I love your quilt! Thanks for the tutorial, too!!
Kif
PS I wish my being "lazy" turned out half as good as your "feeling lazy for not doing all hexagons" quilt did. :)

Elisabrat 07-10-2013 04:30 AM

Kathymarie why not just ask here if anyone would like to swap with you? surely one of the 30's fan's here might have plenty to swap. Wouldnt hurt to try I think :)

tlambing 07-10-2013 06:17 AM

Hope all is ok......Has anyone received their names?

sikesjj 07-10-2013 06:36 AM

No I just checked bc I was at the quilt shop. I like to try and meet my partners color preferences.

Yosamitesa 07-10-2013 08:24 AM

I hope brenda is doing alright. I know she has been crazy busy.

starshine 07-10-2013 09:07 AM

No name here yet either. Hopefully it is just a bit of busy and not some problems.

brenda21 07-10-2013 10:31 PM

ok,names are out ya'll....those of you that are doing side swaps with non 30's this month make sure you're sending yours out too!

Elisabrat 07-11-2013 01:39 AM

Yahoo Yippeee!!!! Everyone its a RACE to the post office so you can get your fq's out. And Maps is in the lead with her quick leg work zooming to the post office and sending the second she had her name. The runner is around the stretch and she is GONE! right over the finish line! Maps is the winner of the pack coming in first with her shipment of fine blenders and pretty pastel fabrics! Actually the Brat is the winner I received MY first package a few days ago :) Now I can join the rest of the bench sitters eating breakfast lunch and dinner out by the postal box doing the game we all love! Waiting waiting waiting.. its exciting in a silly way.

Grandma Peg 07-11-2013 03:29 AM

Got my name! Spending time with my grandchildren a couple hours away from home. So my package will go out tomorrow.

sikesjj 07-11-2013 03:47 AM

Going back to the quilt shop today looks like I am buying pinks, blues, greens, and yellows. Those are my two partners favorite colors and quilt combos.

SheriR 07-11-2013 04:13 AM

I had to take an emergency trip to Idaho. I will be home Saturday and ship to my ladies Monday!

I'm with my sister and while we kill time between things we MUST do we're visiting QSs we pass. Yesterday we found a store in Logan, Utah fixin to have a sidewalk sale. They had bolts and bolts of fabric ready for their sale at $1.00 a yard!!! :D and they let us pre sale shop. Has anyone heard what Augusts theme is? LoL

MaryMo 07-11-2013 05:32 AM

Sheri .... where is that quilt shop? wondering if it is worth the road trip ... at $1.00 a yard it just might be! ;)

sikesjj 07-11-2013 05:37 AM

Utah is a little far for a $1 a yard for me but I wish!!!!!

maps 07-11-2013 06:14 AM

OMG - I can't wait to get home and post a picture of the wonderful fabrics I received from Elisabrat!!! They are gorgeous and I am sooooo lucky. Thank you so much, they are wonderful, full of colors and beautiful prints, I LOVE them.

sunrise450 07-11-2013 06:18 AM

Something has to be wrong here! I have not been getting updates from this swap, also don't have my two names to send to ( I have my FQ's packaged and ready to mail) and have not received any.
Did I do something wrong? If so will somebody let me know?

SheriR 07-11-2013 06:24 AM

Mary, I think it's called Stylish Fabrics on Main Street. They have a great selection and nice prices. ($1.00) lol I kinda want to go back! But I did get a great selections for my Candy Swap.

Yosamitesa 07-11-2013 07:47 AM

I'm all packaged and ready to ship. Will send tomorrow. Boss surprised us with a lunch outing and can't really say no... :) I'll mail to my two tomorrow. :)

brenda21 07-11-2013 08:57 AM

I need two people who would like to swap another set of 30's fq's...PM me....

sewellie 07-11-2013 02:33 PM

For some reason, I cannot post the pictures of the beautiful fabrics that I received from LJDugas on the non-30's fabrics. Love them so much! Thank you, Linda. I will keep trying, maybe later it will show up. In the meantime yours were mailed today - delivery date Monday.

tlambing 07-11-2013 03:56 PM

Mine are in the mail...to a couple of ladies I've never swapped with before :)

createfourpaws 07-11-2013 04:03 PM

Mine are in the mail as one of the non-30's swappers, I have received all that I was swapping with. I will post pictures later tonight or tomorrow after work.

luvstoquilt 07-11-2013 05:13 PM

Got my names and will mail on Friday..spent the day today in Genoa just looking around..it was a great day to just play and I don't get many of those with my mother so ill. I took today just for me and one of my best friends. It was so relaxing and just so much fun. We had lunch in an adorable tea room (we were good and ate a delicious salad)but we got deserts and went across the street with them and ate in a garden...I thought I was in New Orleans...I truly feel like I was on vacation! I adore Summer and with mom's illness this has become my "un-summer"...gotta say I have next year...all good.
