July Fat Quarter (FQ) Swap
 

Description: This will be a monthly swap. You will sign up each month and you can choose each month whether or not to participate. You will be given a random person to swap with and that person will change each month.
Each month there will be a different theme or color that we will swap. There is a limit of two swaps per person.

**Each person will swap 5 fat quarters that go with the theme or color of the month.
**FQ's can be purchased or can be from your stash but they must be 100% cotton and they must measure 18 x 22 inches (standard FQ).
**They should be 5 DIFFERENT FQ's.

For the month of July the theme is 30's reproduction fabrics
Since there isn't a whole lot to this swap, the turn around time will be pretty fast. Sign up until noon on July 7th, receive name and address by July 9th mail out by July 12th. Participants are required to PM me when they have received their FQ's and are required to post a PM thanking the sender. You don't need to let me know you have mailed.

*When you send your FQ's please be sure to include your board/screen name so that people know whom to thank.

If you would like to participate please PM me with your board name, full name and address and the number of sets you would like to do. Two set limit.

The swap is 30's reproduction .. there were a few of us who don't own it or perhaps didnt care much for it so we are doing a side swap of other fabrics.

I'm thinking of making of making a lap quilt with 30's reproduction fabrics received from this swap so am looking forward to seeing your baby quilt for ideas ....... very much so! I hope you'll share it with us.

Annt59-it is 30's repros but some of our regulars didn't want to do that so they are "swapping with each other on the side"

I'm in for two sets, PM has been sent. I LOVE 30s reproduction!!!! It rinds me of my Mamaw, she had some of these fabrics, love them.

I already sent my name to you for a non-swapper of 50's repo. Is there a list or do we have to find our own swapper? I thought I read somewhere that we were to send a PM to you telling you that we wanted to swap different fabric. I would like to be in that branch of this swap. Thank you for your time.

I would have never thought I would like 30's reproductions, but a lady in my guild made this gorgeous quilt and it was made out of all 30's, it was so gorgeous, I could not believe it when she told me what the fabric was

I can't believe I nearly missed sign ups! I pmed for two sets. :D

Thought I'd show a 30's quilt my daughter made. She started making hexagon log cabins but got tired of that and sewed all her strips jelly roll race style. Then she cutoff center and put all her blocks up the middle. I think it's wonderful!

I don't think they are out, the ones who have mailed are for a few of us who are not swapping 30's we did this on the side.

Sheri ... love the quilt your daughter made with 30's fabrics! She is quite innovative and creative! Thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to trying some ideas with these fabrics.

I really would like to trade non-30's with someone, but I can't get any answers on how to do it.
I guess I'll just have to sit this one out. :(
