Lots of loveliness , I had never heard of a kwik klip to fasten safety pins but am sure I will put it to good use ! Lovely fat quarters , a magazine, a book , a teatowel , some chocolates and some beautiful handmade cards . Fabulous gifts - I am blessed.

Today I received a package full of goodies from Knitette. She sent 4 pieces of beautiful fabric, lovely shade of turquoise thread, rotary cutter blades, clips, pins with lettered beads on them, Grabaroos gloves (special yea!), shortbread cookies, Lucky Tatties (potato candy), a key chain with a dangling flask, pencil which is wrapped in scenes and things related to Scotland, a blue rubber thingy that folds (sorry Knitette but I don't know what it is), a brochure from the queen's castle Balmoral and TWO pages of closely typed newsy letter. Wow I am blessed for sure by Knitette! PM on the way to her as well. Tea! I forgot to mention the tea!

Check out all these terrific goodies from Belfrybat (Brigit-Carol). She really spoiled me. There are some lovely Christmas panels I think I will make into placemats; a few patterns, one of which I'm going to start on soon for a wallhanging in my sewing room; lots of great fabric; a fancy stiletto; a great handmade scissor carrier I will put to good use and my favorite candy - Hot Tamales! You really outdid yourself, Brigit-Carol. Thanks to Lori for organizing such an awesome swap.

The candy itself isn't made from potatoes - it's a cinnamon flavoured hard candy, coloured like a 'tattie' - i didn't explain that very well :D Forgot to mention that the foldy thing is :o - a holder for your mobile phone (cell) - I was the same when I picked it up, "What the heck is this?", lol.

I received my awesome package from schnapperdoodle on Wednesday. 4 wonderful FQs, a darling pattern for a Reindeer table runner and Lolly basket, a flower pen-with a little plant pot stand, a souvenir spoon from her hometown, a cute notebook of sticky notes, 2 Australian chocolate bars and a wonderful note on a beautiful note card with a hand painted picture of a kookaburra bird painted by a local artist. Thank you Schnapperdoodle for such a wonderful package. I plan to get a frame for the card and I also plan to get a spoon holder that will be specific for the spoons I have received from sp and hang it near my sewing machine to remind me of my qb friends. oops I forgot to mention a bath bomb that I will use to have my own homemade mini spa break.

well I have tried and tried to download my pictures for this month, was only able to download from 1 person. For some reason QB and I am not getting along right now. Will keep trying though. I need to download what I got from catjo and what she got from me.

you know when someone mentions that they need a prayer or something is going try to always say something to them to give alittle comfort. I posted on here July 21st that my sister was back in the hospital and please say a prayer. Not one person on here has even said one word to acknowledge that I wrote anything. Just not right, makes me not want to continue with this swap, and yes it does hurt, I have been doing this swap for a couple years now and dont even get an acknowledgement.

Verna I m so sorry that no one posted anything. As for my self I have said a prayer or two for her but simply didn't take the time to post it to let you know. It was inconsiderate of me and I am sorry. My best friend has cancer and is in remission right now but they found out a few months ago that her ex husband has cancer a well. Now their their children has both parents with cancer. His cancer is stage 4 in his liver and in his throat and stomach, now it has spread to his spine in his neck and they fear it will go to his brain soon. He was moved to Hospice Thursday. They give him at the most, 5 days. He has decided to stop chemo altogether. They also found that he has the same type of cancer that Marty (my friend) has, multiple myloma which of course makes her think about her own death. So things have been rather crazy here for me. But please know that I am thinking of your sister and include her in my prayers nightly. Lori

Thank you for the kinds words. I know everyone has other things on their minds, I think I was just in a bod mood when I posted. Lori I will definatley say prayers for your friends, i too am going thru somethng like that with my bf. We have been friends since 4th grade to many years ago.

Verna -- Be assured that you and your sister are mentioned in many prayers. As Lori mentioned, sometimes we are remiss in getting back to the person or persons we are concerned about. It's like that old saying about a tree falling in a forest and whether it makes any noise just because no one is there to hear it. I am so sorry for all your troubles.

Thank you WandaLou for the secret pal gift. Sorry I have not been around this month. I was in a really bad car accidnet on the 26th of June and just now starting to get up and about well. Hands still not wanting to work well. I was rear ended while stopped in traffic by someone texting and going 60 miles per hour. Thankful to be here.

Hav4boys hated to read you were in an accident, but glad to hear you are recovering. When I hear these things I think of how we just don't know what each day will bring for us. When I had a boating accident several years back and the only thing that saved me from the propellers from hitting my head was my arm, and it took me a year to get the usage back in my arm. I made a decision then to live every day if it is my last, as you just can never know. Keep improving and don't get discouraged.

So happy you liked your package and so sorry about your car accident, I hope you heal quickly.. texting and driving is a bad problem everywhere..

Sorry to hear this. Here's hoping you're well on the mend now.

FYI - it's illegal to use a mobile (cell) while driving here. If caught, you get a fine and three points on your licence. If you cause an accident you will probably be charged with 'Driving without due care and attention' or 'Dangerous driving' - you could be imprisoned if charged with the latter and serious injuries are incurred.
