Description:
This is a monthly secret pal swap. There is a sign up every month, and you can choose whether or not to participate each month. You will get a different partner every month, and the person you send to will be different than the person you receive from.




1) YOU NEED TO SEND THE HOSTESS A PRIVATE MESSAGE WHEN YOU MAIL YOUR PACKAGE TO YOUR SECRET PAL.

2)ONCE YOU GET YOUR PACKAGE FROM YOUR SECRET PAL, YOU WILL NEED TO SEND A PRIVATE MESSAGE TO THE PERSON WHO SENT THE PACKAGE TO YOU TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU DID RECEIVE IT AND TO THANK THE SENDER.

3) AFTER YOU HAVE THANKED YOUR SECRET PAL, YOU WILL NEED TO SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE TELLING ME THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR PACKAGE SO THAT I CAN KEEP ACCURATE RECORDS.

FAILURE TO SEND THESE PRIVATE MESSAGES IS REASON ENOUGH TO BE BANNED FROM THE NEXT MONTHS SWAP.


PACKAGES NEED TO BE SENT OUT BY July 17th, this is a FIRM deadline (NOT A SUGGESTION). IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU CANNOT MAIL BY THAT DATE, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP. You can send your package as early as you'd like!


If you are sending an international package it will need to be mailed by the 10th of July. Due to mail processing, our mail dates for international mailing has to be as early as possible! No later than the10th of July. It can take many weeks to reach your SP so any delays in mailing can delay the start of the next month’s sign-up sheet being posted.

For international mailing it is very important that you mark your parcel as a 'Gift'. Usually on the Customs Declaration there's a box you can check.

Also, the value should be $10 only (even if you send diamond necklace, lol). I know that each and every time the wonderful generous gifts are far in excess of this amount, but if the true value is listed (and it's over the allowed 'Gift' amount) The person receiving the package is liable for Import Duty, Tax and a Handling fee. This can cost the person receiving as much as $40

As an aside, padded envelopes are much cheaper to send compared to small boxes. I'm not sure if that's true for every carrier or not.

There is a 10 dollar budget for this swap. Items from your stash or homemade items are not included in the $10 limit. Postage isn't included in the ten dollars. The most important thing to remember with the budget is to have fun, but please do NOT SPEND MORE THAN $10.



Sign ups will close the 30th of June, and names will be paired on the 1st of July and sent out no later than the 2nd of July. (I will try to have all names out on the 1st.)


2. If your pal does not receive her/his package within a reasonable time (7 days max from mailing deadline for within the same country. Then I will need tracking information, 15 days for between countries. There are exceptions, but I MUST be notified of any delays in sending on your end). Failure to comply may result in the following: Being banned for the next month


This is why it is imperative that you keep the hostess informed on ANY mailing issues. Along with negative feedback, you will not be allowed to participate in future secret pal swaps. It is also possible that other coordinators will not allow you to participate in their swaps.

My lovely 'new ' singer 99 hand crank . I purchased this for £5.00 !! ( equivalent to £7.87 .....Can you believe it ? She has been relieved of the dust since taking this pic. I have ordered a replacement bobbin plate .I LOVE her - on investigation she is a 1941 model made in Scotland . I have yet to name her but think I will call her Pearl one of my mums middle names ( my car is Sybil another of her middle names , mum passed last year . "Pearl" is great! Good find! Is it difficult to sew one handed? On one of my machines, there is a short in the cord somewhere. Sometimes I have to hold the cord just right to get it to sew. It is hard to maneuver the fabric through the needle with one hand, for me at least. LOL

I don't find it too hard . I haven't used a hand crank machine in a while - 'Pearl' is my second one . My other hand crank is not a singer - is a lot older than this one . She has a shuttle bobbin and sews a dream . So even in a powercut I can sew !!! Lol . Lindsay

I received the info for my SP and she's someone I haven't had before. That is always fun. You live way west of me, have the same kind of pets I do, like the same beverages I do and enjoy reading. It will be fun filling a box to the brim for you!

My swap partner knows me from a previous swap and she lives far from me. She wished for something specific, which I already ordered; hope it doesn't take too long to get here!

This is my first swap. My SP lives very far from me but it is someplace I would love to visit. The candy she dislikes is one of my favorites, especially at the movies!

Started gathering things together for my secret pal. One item will surprise you I think. You've had me but I haven't had you before. You don't live tooooo far from me. You live in a beautiful state and I would love to visit it again. The city (town) you live in is the name of the cross street of the house where I grew up. How's that for a wild hint! Lol

Got my SP's most wanted item, and another item desired but not by the company she mentioned. I'm pretty sure I've had her before and I know she has had me before. She is quite a distanace from me and today's weather is 67 degrees, humid, cloudy and a chance of rain. Hope my package will go out tomorrow.

I am still filling my package. It is one of those flat rate envelopes so I pack it so that I have to have help sealing it. I want to get the most out of the post office. lol
I have had this person before, and she will laugh when she sees I have her again. Has pets, but of course most of us do. Doesn't live far away, but far enough it would be hard to just drop by. lol
