That looks like fun, D.Henson. The trailers are cool.

SBG, love the pink fabric you used on the bottom row, right had side. It kinda looks like slivered/crushed glass, it has so much depth, that's awesome fabric.
Been working on Green Bay Packer drapes for my grandson's bedroom, I think I promised them to him over a year ago! All that's left is to do the hemming and I can scratch another project from my daunting list. |
I do love a good ole fashioned travel trailer how fun to be there with all of them.
Sewbiz I'm loving your 9 patch combo's you do have some awesome scraps. |

I started gathering up fabrics to use for this swap. I ended up making some blocks. I was happy with how quickly the blocks finish. It’s also really nice to use up smaller bits of fabric I’ve been saving.

Those are great, Maude! Beautiful fabrics... I love the combination of small and larger prints, too.

Oh how fun, have never seen a rally of the vintage campers but sure would like to.

Cute blocks ladies! But, Sloths? That has to be the winner! Love it!
I'm looking at starting my blocks next week. Tomorrow my oldest graduates from college, so after all the fun and emotions I think these blocks will be my therapy after all the festivities! |
Oh I hope I get those sloths. Those are adorable. I pulled fabric last night out of my daunting pile. I could not find my hanger full of the 2.5" strips.
I do have a question though, those strips contain darker fabrics, not bright and cheery or flowery, is that going to be ok? Then within that adventure of digging in piles, I found my Kaffe fabrics. Yes, they will be in this swap as well. I am sure I can make 100 blocks with just those. I do have already done that I was doing on my own and will add those into the collection as well since they are sitting there. I truly need to clean up my piles of fabric and projects. They are getting all over and I can't find what I am looking for. LOL |
[QUOTE=sewbizgirl;8059743]200 blocks! That's the makings of a nice sized quilt! How do you plan to set yours? I'm going to simply sew mine together with no settings. Some of us are using them to make the Sister's Choice blocks (stars with 9P centers), and some are using alternate blocks for settings. Can't wait til we start seeing some of the finished quilts from this.
I don't have a plan as yet. I love seeing blocks that others have made. all such wonderful fabric. Love the sloths. Hope I get one! |
Congrats on the graduation, IrishMom... Know you are proud!
QuilterMomma, some darks, probably mixed with a brighter color, should be fine. But if you look at all the blocks posted last time and this time, they are primarily brighter. The theme is "color". Your Kaffe Fassets will be awesome! :o Two non-related types of fabric become related when you combine them in these little checkerboards. They get integrated and we get some wonderful, interesting blocks. It's the magic of the checkerboard. |
