This is what I made for LStew2212 this afternoon. It's "Paper Chain". Hope you like it.

I don't know MonaG's requests. If in question, please contact her.

Yup, $7.20. Ugg. Rates just keep rising.

Yes..she said orange or purple but we didnt have to use both in a block... Did I make a mistake? Janice do you know how much the padded envelopes are going to cost now with the price increase? I thought the PO said $7.40 but he might have been talking about another kind.

I need to apologize to Terri, because I said it was a Jinny Beyer pattern. Forgot it is not JB, but a Farmer's Wife block, #59 if you have the FW book. I didn't have the book so I just drew up paper piecing pattern myself. It's basically 4- 6.5" HSTs, with two lines across each side of the HST, diagonally to form the center stripe. Then make them opposite colors of each other by paper piecing. If you can study the picture you can probably do it.

terriamn 01-31-2017 03:37 PM

I cut all2 pieces fabric for the block Nautilus, killed me not to use the large design but this block will have lots of movement

Here's a couple I've been working on for LSTEW2212. Sorry if the photos are a bit fuzzy. Right now this is the best I can do.
First time I looked at this fabric, I kept seeing pink, so here's her fabric mixed with light pink and orange in Glory Boxes

Light yellow for her second block

Jaba - Here's a block for your collection, called Johnny in the Corner. The orange/gold TOT matches your fabric pretty well.

Any body else having issues posting? I'm getting a random "Board admins have taken away your posting privilege" type message. That's not the wording but it is the meaning.

Terrimn - That Nautilus block sounds cool. Hope you enjoy making it because I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Mona G 01-31-2017 08:37 PM

Thanks a2p those blocks are perfect.

My two blocks for this evening are for Terri and for LJDugas...

Terri's reminds me of a dartboard, for some reason.

I wanted to something like a flower with Linda's roses, and this was pretty close.

I think I've gotten drunkard's path out of my system now. :D

Only one more block left to do for the March group, then I'll take a short break and start on April...

Sewbiz, love the fussy cutting on my block. Your pinwheel star is great. Would you share where you found the pattern?

Terriamn - here is a similar pattern:

JLT, instead of going to bed last night like I should have spent the night scrolling through Quilters cache. I did find the night and day block but didn't notice how similar Clays choice was to Bootsy's block

Today I need to make my 6 solstices blocks before playing with the boom fabrics

After Growth Group today I popped into JoAnn Fabrics, it's 20% off total purchase for senior citizens and their keepsake fabric and Valentine fabric was 50 % off. Saved a hundred bucks. Unfortunately no one followed me home to help wash, dry and press them.

Linda, after I posted the photo of the drunkard's path block I went back and appliqued one of your white roses in the center and then trimmed away the thick bump of seams behind it. Just wanted you to know it will be just slightly changed from the pic I posted.

Oh man! I wish I had found that before I drew mine out myself! Also, the last block I posted for Terri is also called "Night and Day"... the one that I said reminded me of a dart board.

For NanaKathy55 a variation of Ohio Star (not sure if the block has it's own name or not).
