I came back to edit my post but too much time had elapsed. Here are two pics to illustrate with my favourite mid-afternoon snack on them. The blue is 7 x 9" and the black/green 6 x 8". Either work well. BTW, these are practice FMQ squares I cut up to make mug rugs from, NOT what I will be doing on this swap.

This is not a mug rug, but perhaps something to get the "juices flowing". I was thinking about doing something like this using 1.5" strips and a single red flower in the center for a friend who likes b/w and red together.

Im waiting for my partner to post. I want her to be surprised and if she can't post then I will so all of you can see what I sent. I mailed Saturday so she should receive mid week, going way east of me.

I originally made mine smaller than the required size and sure have stressed out getting them the right size. Wish I had known. But well....I am into making several different mugrugs and will choose the one I like the best to send. At least now I can make any others stress free without worrying about keeping to the 7X9" requirement. Whew!!!

Lynnie, you had all kinds of ideas, how about using one, but just substitute black and white for the colors?
