I told my husband there was no way I was taking that until I made a decent one. My husband hid it, and took it. After we opened gifts, my husband said, there is one more your mom made for you, but she didn't want to give it to you. He took it, and said he would always keep it no matter how many others I made. He said, mom remember when I first took pictures and you said how pretty they were, and you wanted copies, I said yes, he said well looking back they were nothing like what I am doing today, but you still have them. Well, today he is a professional photographer. :)

i know i'm making too big a fuss, but i feel bad for my recipient because hers isn't up to snuff by my standards. i would accept the same flawed one from someone else and love it, but i set standards for myself--no one else-- and when i don't meet my standard i am disappointed in me. i know i can do better, and i will prove it to me, and hopefully give my partner something she will really like. that's all.
