Have been thinking about this swap all year & accumulating a few things along the way. Fun, fun, fun til Daddy takes the T-bird awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Cindy you and Dreamer are going to be drinking each other under the table... LOL

As a matter of fact I am eating some potato chips right now

I can't handle the wine, etc...either Louise...but I'll take a nice iced tea with you...hold the sugar.
I'll take my sugar in candy, cookies and my homemade fudge. The girls loved my fudge during the swap last year....

Oooooohhhhh...you make fudge too? I send to my kids and grandkids every year...super creamy and delicious! Would be fun to swap recipes! I don't drink either...I'm crazy enough as it is...can't imagine what would happen to me if I drank as well?

VickiM 09-17-2013 06:50 PM

Finally...pm sent! I so love this thread...

Busy next couple of months for me, so will be on here sporatically...but I will still be keeping an eye on all you "naughty & nice" people...and maybe bring a snack or two when visiting & maybe grab a drink or two on the way out.........:)

i have planned our baking for this year already, we dont do a lot, so what we do make has to be good.
i am also working on a couple of small gifts in wool felt. yesterday and today i have played some christmas music for about 1/2 hour and the kids think i have lost my marbles.

oh goody! I'm not the only one with Christmas music having listened to already! I put it on the other day while I was making Christmas ornaments! Guess I've lost my marbles too!! LOL

Quilty-Louise 09-18-2013 09:09 AM

We have a radio station here in the Denver area that starts playing
Christmas music in the middle of October (at least a couple years
ago they did).

I used to listen, but quit because by the time it got closer to Christmas I
was sick of hearing the music.

rwquilts 09-18-2013 10:31 AM

I've already seen 2 adds on TV that are talking about the "holidays"! Yikes!!!!! It's a bit early for me to hear Christmas music. :)

ljs317 09-18-2013 01:53 PM

Oh oh did someone say sweet tea and Long Island iced tea!!!!! And m&ms all that's needed are some snicker doodles and I'll just fall into the hole willingly!!! I'm bad at being good of is it good at being bad. What song are we singing first????

grann of 6 09-18-2013 02:14 PM

I make the annual snickerdoodles, so don't anyone else try for them. I will make lots and lots.

grann of 6 09-18-2013 02:15 PM

Let's try to get closer to Halloween before we sing Christmas Carols. This is just tooooo early for them!

YUP! Come join the party. I don't drink either unless it's an occasional daquari. But I'm for all the other goodies otherwise.:D

m-fay 09-18-2013 02:41 PM

I'm getting out the Christmas music too.and I'll make a good old fashioned Chrstmas pudding...a suet one wrapped in cloth & boiled up in the copper, with silver charms & coins in it. They have to be silver ...anything else ruins the pudding

m-fay 09-18-2013 02:42 PM

oh & Bandy sauce to go with it

I would LOVE this pudding, I haven't had this in years!!!!!! That pudding is well worth the price of admission:D. My specialty is making Fairy Food Candy, others may call it Angel Food Candy, either way that's what I will be bringing.

m-fay 09-18-2013 03:48 PM

I'll hang with you...the candy sounds good too

I see you !!!!

Bunch of chatty people - had to read pages and pages just to catch up :D

Just sent in my PM and will try to be around more , have been MIA with life ( hey it happens ) LOL

As for you newbies I think I have a pic here somewhere of Dreamers bottles from last year ;) let me look in my pics Yep here it is LOL

Elisabrat 09-18-2013 07:03 PM

ok lets say we ..diet a bit like eat more salads and um.. veggies.. and fruit and no carbs and definitely NO candy until at least.. we get our names then all bets are off and all Christmas music can come out of hiding and be played with pure joy regardless of what the rest of the world thinks.. it does make working on holiday items that much easier I think. I will be decorating my jackalope for all the holidays coming so for now he is gearing up for a couple Halloween ornaments on his cute little antlers.
