Thanks! We'll have to be much sneakier, next time. Maybe a bit more subtle, as well . . . . I know! We can say a committee has been formed, to provide misunderstood quilters with fabric . . . and we're in charge of collections. Wonder if they'd believe that . . . . We don't have to say who formed the committee or who the misunderstood quilters are, of course. ;)

If you've been reading my other posts, it'll come as no surprise to hear I've been to Dollywood too. We stayed in a wonderful log cabin just outside Pigeon Forge (there's a whole shop on the main street dedicated to Elvis btw). ;)

Should be posting my parcel on Monday. Had a bit of difficulty getting the kind of fabric my SS likes, so I've had to compromise - wonder how much she likes tartan? :D
I got her some things to add to her collection, but chose hairy ones instead of the ones y'all have (it's a cold country after all ;)).

Cindy60545 10-26-2013 12:50 AM

Well it's that time of the morning when the furbabies have decided it's time for Mom to be up! Geez, can't I sleep in on occasion?
Dedemac, we're just trying to get you to join us for some fun, food & libation. Really, we're all good in the real world! It's just here that we can be naughty. I'll bring the pumpkin cheesecake if you'll stay!
House # adding up to 7? That could be me! Is it? Huh? Huh? Huh? Temps didn't reach above 70, so that's not me, we missed it, barely, yesterday. Oh who, oh who is my SS???? So few clues fit.

Hint for the day: You're fruity!

SulaBug 10-26-2013 01:10 AM

Cindy............once again your hint for the day would fit so many of us ladies!! :D Come on now & give us a real good hint for the day!!
:D :D :D :D

Camping was fun! I got some of my goodies finished for my SS box. Lucy and I ran away and she took me on a long ( I do mean LONG) walk while DH and Tuutie took another nap.LOL!
Time to get back to the world and my sewing rooms! I miss reading daily clues and commentaries!

Judylee2 10-26-2013 04:24 AM

OOPS! I forgot today's clue: You love bright colors and warm colors! I rode my Super Delux over your house and you must be a very busy lady, ummmm...person!

Cheryl, I've flown my super duper deluxe over my Santaee's home & know a lot about them & the area their in, but if I get too specific they'll guess who I am & I really don't want to spoil the surprise on opening day! So, for now I'm going to have to give some pretty vague clues.

Well we are so often misunderstood... and we always need more fabric... so my "bad girl" meter sees absolutely nothing wrong with this tactic. I humbly volunteer myself to be a member of your committee!

sunrise450 10-26-2013 06:30 AM

Good morning! Just checking in for the day. I love all the chatter and yes I poke my head in now and then every day to see what is going on. I have visited the hole, guess I need to go again, I just finished up the last of the chocolate chip cookies now dh wants some lemon cookies. Grandson Morgan will be spending the night and he likes them too.
Nessie, that committee sounds right up my ally! I am starting to think of next year's secret santa, what is wrong with me? I haven't finished the package for my SSR! I think I have the time to make something else for her.
That is my clue for today..........my ssr is a woman!

Accepted! Just don't tell any of the goody-goodies . . . or they'll start wanting cuts!

I might if someone passes me the baileys to go with the cheesecake and promises to help me with more apples:cool: I have another 20 lbs. to turn into stuff. So far I have some in the pot to make more jam and have a bag in the freezer for a pie at new years. With the nice looking ones I think I will dry some for apple chips then the rest is either apple sauce or apple butter.

Hint for SSR you have a tree at Christmas. :)

I hereby pledge my 100% effort to the committee. I can really BS the story of the poor quilters....Wouldn't it be great if people just GAVE us their stash instead of us sneaking around, although we can collect twice the stash if we do both

mdall 10-26-2013 09:30 AM

I must have missed the post about the Misunderstood Quilters. Fill me in, I have looked back and cant find it. I can be sneaky and I am most definitely misunderstood by lots. LOL

Well, working on more little projects today. Trying to get most of the small stuff done today and then tomorrow on to the bigger items. I cant seem to get things done as fast as usual, must be all of these people in the hole with me. they keep distracting me with things like cheesecake and wine. Oh the troubles. LOL

catjo 10-26-2013 09:48 AM

I know some have posted that there are silent SS's on here. I like some others just don't have the time to allow me on. I hate missing a day on here because I have to sit and of course read all the postings. Not that I don't enjoy all of you. I just find I have way too much going on. So keep in mind it isn't because a lot of us don't want to post more.

I know I tried to provide my SS with as much info as I could possibly could. I also can see some did not give much info. That does make it difficult for figuring out what a person would want or like. That's when I just think, this will will definitely be a surprise box for them. lol I know this group will have wonderful boxes sent out. you all are a great group of people!!!

For my SS hint: You have a very large water park in your town.

Twice the stash? I like the way you think, Pat!

pyffer3 10-26-2013 02:14 PM

Okay. Since everyone is posting hints... Here you go.
my SS lives west of me, in a larger city than mine, has closer neighbors than I do (my closest is almost a half mile from me). Hummmmmmm anything else might help? Don't want to give it away all at once. Right?

But . . . but . . . it's whispering my name! Can't you hear it? I hear it . . . and it's practically pleading with me, to claim it and after figuring out just what it is, to put it to good use! Listen . . . . See? It called my name, again!
