Teen, cute little coffee pots. Your paper piecing is so precise. I can't imagine doing those myself. My fingers would be locking up on me. So, awesome job.
My Wall Hanging is almost done. I just have to run out and pick up a spool of thread to finish quilting it. I don't have enough on the spool right now. Hoping to have it finished by tomorrow. We'll see.... |

Well...I SAID I had decided on the hanging for the swap, but I've changed my mind. Why? It's funny how you do't see things that are right in front of you until you see it in a picture. After I posted my picture and really looked at it, I was appalled! The corners are bad...really bad! S-o-o-o-o...I've made another one, and it actually has corners, so that is the one that will be swapped. It looks something like the other one....border and scissors are different...but I like it, and will keep the other one....and here is the new one......

I had to look at the first one to see what you were talking about. I don't see anything wrong with first one....you're just a perfectionist...lol. Both are very pretty....I 'd love either one.

WOW!! What a variety of wall hangings. They are all so beautiful. You all are some talented quilters.

I have almost finished my Wall hanging. I just need to add a label to the back. Hopefully, this photo will load. All of a sudden, I can't post photos the way I used to. So, this is definitely going to be a trial.

And, here's a close up of the hand work. (It really does hang straight.)

Very cute bunny, love the handwork!

Precious little bunny!

I wish the QB had a Like button like FB does. All the quilts are amazing. We always have a few new quilters who are sometimes unsure of the work they do. Rest assured there are no police here and many people who know just where you are coming from. We were there once too. Don't forget that we are also here to help if you come into any difficulty in any project you are working on. Have fun, enjoy the doing.

Judith....adorable!!! Love the patchwork design and fabrics used. Beautiful work....
|
Thank you ladies. It was a really fun pattern.

Judith, love the bunny!!!

Quilted wall hanging finished. Front and back. You can always turn it over and use it as a table runner at Easter. Judith...before I settled on the pinwheel design, I almost did that bunny one. I love it. All the hangings are so neat. I really do hope whom ever receives mine is not disappointed. There are some hiccups in it. |
Thank you Klaws, thank you Boop.
I think your pinwheels are very nicely done. It a lovely bright wall hanging. If you do not live in FL, it is a very cheerful site in the midst of winter. granky, another darling wall hanging. I too do not see any mistakes on your first one. I was actually quite taken with the darker border on the first one. Both are very nicely done. |
Boop...well done on your Wallhanging. I like the fresh colors....and fun backing...

Skaduzy, adorable. I love the spool border and your straight line quilting.
|
Love your wall hanging skaduzy! It’s just perfect, hope you send to me :)
|
Skaduzy...LOVE it!

Thanks for the nice comments. I like the way it came out and think I'm going to make one for me....always wanted to make some of those spools and never did. The secret to the straight lines is the Hera tool by Clover. Can't remember where I heard of it but it's great. You can score a line to follow instead of using a marker and best part is it disappears with an iron. Get one with a Joann coupon when you can get 50% off :D.
I am liking all the wall hangings. The scissors and needle on patchwork is one of my favorites. I had never even thought of that before but it's cute. Bunny is adorable, Rainbow pinwheels, teacups, Great selection this swap and can't wait to see more to come! |
skaduzy your little sewing machine wall hanging is adorable. A keepsake for sure. We all want it. LOL
|

Well...I'm not a pro by any means...but I do love quilting! I finally decided on which hanging to swap, so here it is. Lots of things wrong with it if the quilt police get their hands on it, but hopefully there are no quilt police around. The idea came from Pinterest, but I couldn't trace it back far enough to be able to give credit to anyone...only the person who pinned it. The original had scissors and a thimble, but I liked a needle and thread better. Hope whoever gets it likes it!

Skaduzy, love your wall hanging!!! I would love to have it. :) I'm starting to work on mine now. We are expecting to get over 6" of snow this weekend so you know where I will be.
|
Honestly, I thought I posted and inquiry...wondering why no one was working on any of their projects?...but when I came back to see if there were any responses...it wasn't there! So I'll try again...I know there are some quilters who said they were 'in'...but maybe they want their creation to be a surprise? Personally, I would love to see the progress...since this is my first 'swap' maybe I'm expecting too much? If so, I apologize but would still enjoy seeing pictures...just sayin'.....

I have the top of my wallhanging finished. All I have to do is sandwich and quilt it. It's a little on the larger size and will probably end up to be about 26" x 28". Does anyone have a problem with that size? If so, I can make something else. I probably won't get to finish it until maybe next week. My good sewing machine froze up on me and I had to get out my older one. It's good for straight stitching but not good for quilting. I have to decide what I'm going to do.
|
Klaws, size doesn't matter to me. Quilt up your beauty and have fun.

We have a bright orange flowered native tree that blooms around Christmas and is known as a Christmas tree . The pattern I am using is to represent a bush fire but with all the bad fire over your way I didn't want to do that yet I wanted to try the design so I came up with this idea . I hope who receives it will be happy with it

Wow, you all have been busy. Lovely wall hangings. I really like the bunny one, awesome. But then again all of the wall hangings are awesome. klaws, any size walll hanging will do. I tend to make mine bigger than the average all the time.
|
Kwyltaholic..I love your wall hanging...thanks for showing it to us!
Klaws...26 x 28 sounds like a good size....it's bigger than a mug rug and smaller than a quilt...right? |
What kind of hanger do we use on the wall quilts?
