Argentium really really did a fab-u-less job on my PC! I love everything. She made me a 'cute' Halloween pumpkin. Just a warning - picture heavy to show all the goodies. There were some dark chocolates, a cute butterfly clip, and two beautiful pins. She also sent a couple of postcards from her home state. Thanks again Argentium!

She's so cute! And yes, that is the perfect purple. I had to laugh that we both went for a witchy theme. Anyway, thank you so very much! I'm looking forward to the next time I set up the sewing machine so I can put her to good use. http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...681-443110.JPG |
Thank you all soooo much for being so prompt and mailing on time. This month is now closed out and completed. I will be on the November swap after today. Thanks, everyone, for making my first time hosting such an easy time.

Hi Lynnie, sorry didn't see your ? about clay. Yes I fire the clay, I keep a small kiln in my garage. I have had a small studio sized one for several years, it is smaller than a bushel basket. It is as important to me as my sewing machine. Funny how we get used to things. I have been busy with snowman heads and tiny stars this month, Fons & Porter has bought three of my designs, one of them is in the current issue they did such a great job with it, the next one will be published in a few weeks. I'm trying to stitch a few of them for presents this year. I have been making buttons for around 35 years, it is my passion!

love the newest additions. so beautiful, really nice work!
jean, I just love your buttons and pins. I used to do a lot of ceramics and such, taught for 6 yrs also. if I got a kiln, my dh would kill me with the electric. hopefully, i'll get you sometime as a swap partner. i'm back to fimo clay, much cheaper, but oh how I love the look of true firing. thanks for 'splaining to me. |
Jean, love all your work. we used to have a local business that sold the pins and things but they closed a few years ago. My sister wanted to get started but found the expense too much for her. will show her the pics and she will drool on my keyboard. yuck. see what you did! lol

Yep, I'm surprised I haven't gotten you yet Lynnie! We could always do one after the holidays when things slow down. I have a good friend in Oregon (for 30 years!) and we exchange a little quilt every few months, do you paint?

Cherrio, sometimes you can get a inexpensive kiln around colleges, because the kids don't want to move them. I only run my little kiln once every couple weeks, it runs on 110- so electric isn't that bad.
