Is there I sign up for the next table runner swap yet. I haven't started one yet but want to play again. PM'd Caroline.

m-fay 12-19-2016 03:22 PM

I've just pm'd too

Northern Sue 12-19-2016 04:32 PM

Plus 40 degrees m-fay??? Now that's just mean! lol Apparently its warming up tomorrow to about -17 but the wind is crazy tonight, so it definitely won't be bikini weather! As if this body has seen a bikini in decades! LMAO!

m-fay 12-20-2016 12:53 AM

It only got to 39 celsius and now the sea breeze has come in and its dropped to 31.4 celsius. I guess you'll have a white Christmas? you'll have to post a picture of the countryside where you live.

ube quilting 12-20-2016 04:46 AM

Just the thought of a sea breeze in summer is dreamy.

I am the proud recipient of the runner by Northern Sue! It is wonderful and the FMQ is so fine. It looks like she quilted each 5" square separately. And I love that it isn't the traditional Christmas colours -- it will be useful for all of winter. I will post a pic in a couple of hours -- my computer is being obnoxious today and isn't recognizing my camera. I really do not like Windows 10.

I agree.... Windows 10 sucks! I also agree that Sue's work is beautiful.... I am the proud owner of one of her runners!!!

Well, I pulled out my trusty Windows XP machine, downloaded the pics for this and two other swaps effortlessly, re-sized them and transferred to this computer. What a pain! But here is the pic of the wonderful table runner I received from Sue. Since my table is half quilting board and half "Christmas central" I decided to hang it above the sink in the kitchen. I don't have any windows in there, so like to have a bright wall hanging above the sink. I love the fact this has non-traditional colours and can be used all winter. Thanks so much, Sue!
BTW, the detail of the stippling is fantastic. Much more intricate that I would ever tackle, and this was her first FMQ project. She's a pro already!

That's really pretty. love the fabrics she used.

marietta 12-21-2016 08:27 AM

Great Runner, love it.

ube quilting 12-21-2016 09:16 AM

Fabulous fabrics in the sink quilt. I do the same thing. No window to look out so I hang small quilts there to enjoy while doing my favorite chore. Great minds think alike!:D

Oh, those snowmen are fun! Caroline does lovely work.

Well, I don't know what is happening about the runner I sent Lovethemgreys. It was delivered two weeks ago but she moved without leaving a forwarding address. She said she would ask a neighbour to send it to her, but after two weeks, I'm afraid it has gotten lost. I hope she eventually gets it and can use it at future Christmasses. In the event it really is lost, I'm posting a picture so you know I really did send her one. The first is the top and the bottom is the reverse.

marietta 12-22-2016 08:41 AM

Love both the runners. Thanks so much for posting pics.

lawsonmugs 12-22-2016 09:26 AM

Those are so pretty. Love em.

Anoka Quilter 12-22-2016 09:34 AM

All the runners are great.

Belfreybat hopefully your person will receive hers soon, or it gets returned to you. What does the tracking have to say? I had a person in the Ornament Swap who went to their winter home and her package was rerouted from her main address to their winter home address and the tracking showed its route.

Belfrybat 12-22-2016 11:59 AM

I hope she does also. The tracking says it was delivered to her mailbox in CO on Thursday Dec. 8th. She is now in Texas.

Northern Sue 12-22-2016 12:57 PM

So glad you like it!

Northern Sue 12-22-2016 12:59 PM

We are away from home now until after we ring in the New Year. Didn't receive my runner before leaving but Post office promised to hold the package until my return. So,bot my secret Sender, don't panic if you don't see anything posted until early January! All the best everyone!

jaba 12-22-2016 01:16 PM

Nothing in the mail today so I'm still waiting....Tough week, no mail in or out of my neighborhood in Wyoming for 2 days, all the roads were closed. 6 feet of snow and it was 45 below. So happy to be in Florida

lawsonmugs 12-22-2016 01:30 PM

jan, I just bet you are glad to be in Florida. I'd like to be there too. lol. I passed through Wyoming as a kid on a car trip from Calif. to Ohio. It was so pretty there. I was 12 yrs old, I thought it would be so nice to live there when I grew up. It was June when we passed through. Big difference from the Winter. lol.

jaba 12-22-2016 02:20 PM

It is beautiful in the summertime Mary, love it there at that time of the year. Liked the winter too when I was younger and skied or snowmobiled all winter long, not so much now. These bones are just to old to do that:)

Ube today was the day! It arrived and just in time for me to use it on my Christmas Eve table. It is beautiful and I love the poinsettia quilting you did on it. The mini hanging is being hung in my sewing room so it can greet me everyday, along with the poem, such good thoughts for liviing. I love the fabric too, just perfect colors for me. Thank you so much for your generosity and the lovely items that you sent.

Anoka Quilter 12-23-2016 11:47 AM

m-fay 12-23-2016 06:28 PM

Northern Sue 12-26-2016 12:23 PM

OH my goodness! Beautiful runners shared! It will be so exciting to see mine when I get home! We are recovering from waaayyyy too much food at Christmas dinner, and I have to say my grandsons are wearing me out! Lol I don't remember my 2boys being such a handful when they were this age! I'm sure they were but I was many, many years younger! Wouldn't trade a minute!

ube quilting 12-31-2016 05:18 PM

I am curious, did I miss the next sign up for the table runner swap? Should it have started at the beginning of December? Are we skipping December and staring in January? What's up? PM'd C.

Happy New Year to every one.
peace

I had such a beautiful package waiting for me when I returned this week from the Christmas/New Year holidays with the kids! This picture just doesn't do the runner justice from m-fay! It's beautiful & vibrant & reversible! I've extended the Christmas season a bit so I can enjoy it this year, and then I'm going to flip it over to the reverse side and enjoy the cardinals for a few more weeks! The wine mat has already found a home with my wine glass last night & my coffee cup today! lol The crayfish recipes look very interesting - next city trip I'm going to see if I can find some! Thanks so much!

jaba 01-06-2017 10:38 AM

That's beautiful, I'd extend the season too!!
