Well it is obvious that no one else is having problems posting pictures; however, for whatever reason I cannot seen to get the pictures of my wonderful SP package from Belfrybat to post. I am wondering if it is because I am trying to do this on my work laptop vs my personal one and if there is some kind of security setting that won't allow it.

My package began to arrive early with a wonderful little kitchen witch, who by the way promptly flew to her home in my kitchen. Then at the end of last week I got another wonderful package from my SP. Remember the picture of the beautiful scarves she posted (#33) in a lovely almond/beige color. It will go prefect with my brown "winter" coat.

I also received a very interesting Halloween panel from her in addition to some other wonderful fabrics and quilting goodies.

Thank you again Belfrybat and I will try again to get pictures posted when I get home and am on my home computer.

Hello everyone, Elvis and I got happy mail yesterday. My pal is Sonja - Screen name Soniboo. Thank you Sonja, you have spoiled us. I love it all you are very generous. Ladies and gents I received so much....(first photo). 5 old magazines...which I collect, two are from 90 &91 when I was 30 and a card pack...(second photo). Purple fabric my fave, charm pack and some lovely bocks...(third photo). Big bag of reeses pieces, baggie of assorted candy and a baggie full of milk bones for Evis....(forth photo). A cute porcupine pin cushion (I think?), purple thread, thread cutter, lace, floss, sewing machine needles, fabric glue stick, a big purple clothes pin, butterfly charm and the cutest embellishment of a doggie, a long doggie. I described elvis my new puppy, as suppose to being a long haired chihuahua but he only has long hair on his ears and neck. And after his head his body just goes on and on and on. I got him for my 54th Birthday this year from my daughter, he will be 1 in November.
Sonja thank you for making this special for Elvis and me. First time loading photos on this sight, not sure how they are going to load up, had the hardest time but I think I got it for next time.:o

Am getting a tad worried - my pals package still appears to be at Kennedy, New York waiting to be sent onwards . It has been there since the 13th !! Hope it gets sent on soon to the recipient. Sad pal here ! :(

Anoka Quilter 10-21-2015 09:19 AM

Deltadawn do not be sad. You cannot help custom hold ups. I am sure your SP understands.

Bless you Anoka Quilter ! .... Just really worrying as I hate to feel I have let someone down .....and then have to make them wait even longer should I have to replace the package and send out another . Thank goodness I have tracked and signature required on delivery - so it is insured .

Birdscraps 10-21-2015 03:08 PM

My package is making it's way east of me. Big hint - hopefully you will be home to get it!

catjo 10-22-2015 01:03 PM

Deltadawn you are so welcome. A couple of months ago I found out that the flat rate envelopes go for the same rate (up to 4 pounds) as what I paid a few years ago for an overseas regular envelope that was only one pound so now I use the padded flat rate ones when I do overseas and cram it as full as I can.[/QUOTE]

Starshine, are you saying they let you use the flat rate envelopes to send overseas?????? Do they limit it the 4lbs or can you stuff it as full as you want? This is great news if this is how it is. Hoping you say yes to these questions. Wish postal people would tell you these things. Thanks!!!

catjo 10-22-2015 01:08 PM

Bullock2us the bows you have in your pic, are they for hair? I need to figure out how to make some of those to use for my hair. I always pull my hair in a pony tail now and go through the wraps in several months with the usage of everyday. Those are super cute!

I discovered this on the usps.com website. A few years ago I had Gaijin in Japan and at that time I thought it would be about the same as one I had sent to Canada. Found out overseas is higher rate than Canada. and at that time the postal clerk told me overseas it was$26 (and change) for up to 4 lbs. and higher if over 4#. So anyway I checked the usps website under "calculate a price" a few months ago when sending to Scotland to get an idea of what it would cost and the site listed 'flat rate' as one of the options and the padded envelopes came in at the $26(+) for up to 4 pounds so I have used the flat rate and stuff it when going overseas. I think if it is overseas and more than 4 lbs. it will be higher.
Canada was about half of the overseas rate so I don't know what flat rate there would be but if you are sending to Canada or Mexico they have a lower rate than overseas for mail-I guess cause it is on the same continent.

Yep! I made a set for my DD, and her DGD too. Just take a small, (I think I used 3.5") square of two fabrics. Sew together, rights sides facing, leave one side open for turning, clip corners, turn right side out. Top stitch all around, then accordion fold the square, pinch the middle and tie a ribbon around the center, set with glue on back. I got a lot of 75 alligator clips from eBay for cheap, but you can get them at Joann's too. Glue the back of bow to the clip. Done and done!

I received a wonderful pkg from Jan Rutherford. Everything she sent me will be put to use, half already is being used. Thank you, again, Jan. Hope to return the favor soon. I love the pin cushion and hot pads and the work you did on them.

(Oops! Somehow lost the other picture I had which included the fat quarters, pattern, memo pad ... sorry. But I did save the one showing your beautiful handiwork.)

Nancy in Louisiana 10-25-2015 06:31 AM

BYW - that wihite round disk is a stick-on lite which is exactly what I needed to light up the bobbin area of my longarm sitdown.

Leesewzany 10-25-2015 03:09 PM

Those are really beautiful creations, Jan.

catjo 10-26-2015 11:38 AM

Thank you for the directions Leesewzany. I am going to try to make me some. If I get confused, as I am easily confused, lol I will pm you. I appreciate you sharing.

Birdscraps 10-26-2015 01:51 PM

My package was delivered to my SP on Friday. I have a feeling she's been terribly busy and may not have been around her computer for a bit.

Belfrybat 10-26-2015 03:21 PM

I received a great package from Birdscraps yesterday. I'm going back and forth between the old house and new apartment, so have been missing picking up mail.

I can't find my camera, but she sent a plethora of items. Homemade note cards, fabric, a scary spider -- very realistic looking, Command hooks, a funky pen, journal, magnetic notecard, and Halloween goodies. It was a very plentiful package. Hopefully she kept a pic a will be able to post it.
Thank you so very much -- this was a nice housewarming present.
