I was reading the pink ribbon quilt discussion. I would like to make a 12 x 12 quilt block too. Am I too late, or is this still in the planning stage?

I think you are talking about the donation of pink 12 x 12 blocks.
I appreciate the offer but we actually completed the quilt and in the process of selling the tickets around town to raffle it off! We had enough to make a 5 x 6 quilt, a 4 x 3 lap quilt and a 3 x 3 quilt to be donated to the cancer society!
But, again, thank you so much for the offer!

Sounds like a good idea. Roserita, do you want 12" finished blocks, which would mean 12 1/2" unfinished? Would you like them to be pinks/whites/creams in a variety of blocks, which would allow you to make one pink ribbon block to stand out by itself? Let us know what style and colors you want, and we'll do it!

I hope everyone finds their way to this thread as Patrice suggested! As each of us finishes our blocks, we can pm you to get your address to mail the blocks to you.

Folks - are we sure Roserita can handle this righr now and does she want to? Sorry to bring it up, but before we start we need to ask her.

Maybe one of the more experienced ones on here can take it on and I am sure we would get more than enough bocks together.

Any one willing to organize this if Roserita does not want to?

Thank you all for your messages, prayers and advice. Someone on the board mentions making quilt block for a quilt for her. When I told her this she was overhelmed. I was too when I read that post. That's the way I understood it, Sharon. She want's to make it herself. She might not have been back on line yet.

I am going to make a pink and white 12 1/2" unfinished block. If you want to join in, please pm me for my address. When I receive your blocks, I will forward them on to Roserita. Therefore, she will not have to be bothered with trying to answer each one of us.

Hi - here is my block for Roserita's quilt for her daughter. There is strength in numbers and alot of people here who care. Strength and prayers to you both.

This is going to be a pretty quilt. Thank you all for your participation. I would like to have at least eleven and then the pink ribbon would make twelve.

Here is my quilt block (Friendship Star Variation from Quilters Cache):

The blocks so far are great, I plan on sewing mine tonight.

I have made a rolling star out of two shades of pink with white polka dots and white on the corners. If I were smart like you all, I could post a picture.

I'm excited about receiving the blocks and sending them on to Roserita.

I sent in a butterfly applique square on white. I forgot to photograph it, oops!! Anyway, should be there in a couple days. I wish this gal a very speedy recovery and positive outcome for her cancer!!

Do I understand that we are NOT to make a ribbon square?

Any pink and white block pattern that measures 12 1/2" unfinished.

I guess I just miss understood what she wanted.
