the scrap swap is simple. You get a partner and you and your partner decide what you are swapping. This way each one gets what they need and can send what they want to send.

I am starting a new list for an item swap. Let's start with a quilt block swap and then change the item for the next one. I can make one swap an anything goes swap and one swap could be a mugrug swap.

ITEM SWAP - QUILT BLOCK

You will get a partner and you can exchange addresses.
PLEASE HAVE YOUR QUILT BLOCK FINISHED BEFORE YOU SIGN UP
When you get your partner then you can mail out.

Let's aim for Feb 6 as the deadline to mail. that gives you 10 days. This is not set in stone however. If I need to change it I can. I just don't want to drag it out too long.

You can make a controlled scrappy quilt block as in the ones I post for the quilt along or you can do a one patch scrappy quilt block. anything is fine as long as it is scrappy controlled or not.

I have a scrappy fall quilt block I made with fabric from my less than f8ths piles. its ruby fall tones however and its 12.5 inches. :) would make a lovely little mat for a small table :) I am in for one swap. is that controlled block scrappy enough or does it have to be your blocks Rhonda? I think this is a pretty nice block and heck if you only have one it will be scrappy by the time its incorporated for sure.

I am in for the next swap of parter agreed swap and also in for a mug rug scrappy spring :)

Could I do something like a scappy placemat or hot pad to swap with someone?

Instead of using 2 1/2 " squares for the stones , i used paper pieced scraps ....used a 3" wide adding machine paper roll to sew my scraps to......this will eventually go to Charisma since it is from one of our trades...most of the scraps are hers.....i have made a few quilts using this method with paper piecing onto the roll....hope this helps

I don't understand what you are using the adding machine paper for.
