Welcome to our 4th Wall Hanging Swap!

Here is how the Swap works!

You have 4 months to make a wall hanging of your choice.
All techniques are allowed.

Sign up any time you like - there is no deadline to sign up
As long as you have a wall hanging ready to mail by the last day of the month you can join us any time!
I will be posting addresses to each swapper 5 days before the mail date. But you can still join up until the last day of the month.

On Oct 24 I will send an address to each quilter
You will then send your wall hanging to the quilter who's address you get.
You will not have a partner. You won't know who is sending to you til you get it in the mail.

IMPORTANT:
Please let me know when you mail and when you receive!!
Anyone who can not mail on time needs to let me know! I am no longer allowing late mailings beyond 2 weeks late. Anyone who has not mailed within the stated limits will risk suspension from the next swap and or negative feedback.

Please Post Pics of: (Not required but this would be great)

Fabric you are going to use or thinking of using
Embellishments you are using
Progress pictures would be nice!!

I would like to see some sharing of ideas and conversation along the way!!
That is the really fun part!!

Requirements:

100% Cotton
Prewashing or not is up to you

Size and Type of Wall Hanging:

A wall hanging should be smaller than a lap quilt but larger than a mug rug.
You can use any technique and any style any colors.
Embellishments are a fun way to add to your wall hanging if you like

I need to be sure I will have time to do a wall hanging before I sign up. My schedule seems to be filling up faster than I can do things. I do have a great pattern in mind and oh my fall colors are wonderful. I have bookmarked this so I keep watching you gals have fun.

I think I have my pattern picked out for this one, I think! Have to make a sample and see if it's worthy. IT INVOLVES BIRDS AGAIN!:D

I love birds, a zillion are chirping in my front yard this morning. they start at 4 a.m. and sing all day long. Maybe I will get a bird wall hanging!!! who here likes bears? I was thinking bears, blue flowers brown bear claws...

I like bears and blue flowers. Sounds like an animal theme starting.

Ok, I can't resist! I'll join the fun and send my PM. Just a warning though.....mine will most likely be on the larger size. They just tend to take on a life of their own and grow to the right size!

Well I have a wall for that larger wall hanging :) I have only one thing hanging in my bedroom, a marvelous beaver skin my dh thought would make a special gift for me. He is grand at special gifts. I now call the beaver Wallie. So please something out of cotton for the wall would be a treat here. lol.. I love nature fabrics and also Bright happy fabrics. so easy to please just no fur please.

oh, i'm happy to do international! i can do an animal theme if that's the direction we're taking. i just happen to have a kazillion cat patterns, owls, dog fabric, wild horses.....fish, whatever! i like teddy bears better than grizzlies, my dd inherited all my roosters, but i have zebra, monkey, frog, giraffe, leopard and elephant all represented in my home. have 2 cocker spaniels and 2 cats. numerous bunnies, squirrels, raccoon, and possum outside.

I'm going back to the original idea and everyone who sends me a confirmation that they have a wall hanging ready to mail will get an address to send to. this way everyone should get their wall hanging in a reasonable amt of time.

Post pics everyone!! We love to see your fabrics or ideas you are thinking of using in your wall hanging. The more pictures means more fun!!!

Please sign me up as well. I have chosen a pattern and am ready to do some stash shopping. It is a little applique, a little embroidery, and a little embellishment. I am starting with a clean slate, so I should be able to start on it immediately.

I will post fabric choices early next week.

We are not doing themes are we? I was thinking it was quilters choice? I for one would not want to receive an animal themed quilt...or make one. I Like dogs (I have one) and cats, , I just don't like ANY novelty print quilts, sorry that's just me. :o
