So sorry to hear about your brother, Evelyn. My prayers are with you and your family as you begin this difficult journey.

Oh prayers to your brother and his family. Don't worry about us we will be here when you get back. Also I will send out the other four blocks to you and glad you were able to make a block with ease. It really isn't a hard pattern. Dragonfly Nana your right pin all your blocks together so I know who made what. Next week I will start on the star blocks. Should be fun

Evelyn, sorry to hear about your brother!

I haven't gotten them put together into a row yet, but I wanted to post the blocks I completed for your row!

Paula....I am kinda confused on how to do your signature dragonflys. I don't know why I am confused but do you think you could better explain it to me

Sure - I draw the dragonfly on applique paper (I made myself some templates a while ago) then choose a light colored fabric scrap from the ones I used in the quilt to adhere it to.

When the quilting is mostly done I attach the applique to the back in a corner where I won't be quilting by using a half ladder stitch on my machine. Some people call the stitch by another name but I can't remember what right now.

Then I finish quilting, bind it, and then I write on it with a pigma pen and press the dragonfly to set the ink before I wash it.
Hope that helps.

so do we just sign one wing and put it back in the bag?

Yes - please choose one fabric that you used in the row for me, iron a wing to the back side of that fabric and then sign the front. I will trim them up when the come back and attach them all to a body that I make.
I guess since we only have four members I will be the fourth wing and the date will go in the body.
Thanks for asking.
