True, I also did mine in one long row. However, it didn't say it had to be done that way. I only did mine to stay consistent with the other two rows. But the original measurements are still in effect.

Hope this helps.

I have mailed row out, was late sorry traveling with family. Should receive this week.

Vanogay 05-08-2013 12:13 PM

I am out of town as well. Will be home late tomorrow - perhaps package will be waiting. Will report in when it comes. Thanks.

QuilterMomma 05-21-2013 07:59 AM

How is everyone doing here? I see not many posts lately. The next mailing date is June 1st for the last row to be done and then they will be mailed to their home again. Please post where you are at and if on track.

Vanogay 05-21-2013 09:38 AM

I am home and have received star row (3 done). I have designs to work with and will start them this week. Should make the deadline - or be very close to it.

Sauki1 05-21-2013 09:45 AM

will be working on mine soon. I had to order some wonder under to do the appliques. I will be close on mailing.

Sauki1 05-23-2013 03:55 AM

Ladies,

I have some terrible news. The post below is a cross post from another swap I'm in.

I am writing in regards to one of our own. Donna in Moore OK. where the FH5 tornado went right thru her town, she is also known as Luvtosew2011. We haven't had contact with her but did get a email from Canada that she was safe and in a shelter. We don't know the status of her home, but when she makes contact I would like to facilitate some care packages for her. If you know Donna you will know that she always goes further to help others and goes 110% for her swappers and people on the board.
As soon as I hear we will get in gear. Hope you all will participate. One of the suggestions is send her gift cards for places like Target, Walmart, grocery stores in her town, Joann's etc. So she could get things she might need now.
My hand is in, hope you will help her too.
All the best,
Roberto

Everyone, please keep your thoughts with her and her family. The other swap will be sending things to her as soon as she is able to receive them. If you're interested, please let me know. Also, any new updates I see there, I will post here as well.

Thank you,

Angie

Vanogay 05-23-2013 02:36 PM

Of course, I'll be glad to help however we can. Glad to know she is safe. Hate to ask which quilt she was working on - someone is missing out now, perhaps we can start that one over?

QuilterMomma 05-23-2013 03:06 PM

If you are talking about Donna, she is ok, the storm missed them, things are strewn a bit, but she is fine. I got a pm from her.

QuilterMomma 05-23-2013 03:06 PM

Here is her message:
Hi,
Thanks for thinking of us here in Oklahoma. I finally got out and look around and you have no ideals how many people have loss there home, my heart breaks for them, I so wanted to help with there clean up but not physically able to do that. :-( I hope making quilts that I'm able to help in some way.
God Bless you! Today another day of storms, its raining right now just what those people need! :-(
Take Care,
Donna

Sauki1 05-23-2013 04:26 PM

That's great QM! Sooo glad it missed her.

Van - from her last post she did not have any rows. Whether she got any after I don't know.

I'll post your PM in my other group so they know she's safe.

QuilterMomma 05-24-2013 11:52 AM

I was concerned about her as well. Was a scary thing to go thru.

Vanogay 05-24-2013 02:29 PM

So glad to hear she's okay - that really takes a load off!!!!!!!!

Lv2sew2011 06-01-2013 09:07 AM

Hey everyone, well we had tornado's again last night and once again I've made it through spent a lot of time in our storm shelter the last tornado that had touch down in Moore that did all the damage missed me by 1.4 miles boy was I grateful. Thanks for thinking about me, as far has you guys sending me anything no need for that, however I am making children quilts for the children that have lost everything and if you would like to make maybe a couple of blocks, or top, or donate to help buy batting, thread ect. That would help me a lot, I am working with another lady in Oklahoma to make these quilts.
At this time I have not received any tops from this group. Also in the next few months I will be moving, I'm getting out of Moore. We are going to be moving closer to my mother and father that are in bad health so I can keep a close eye on them and not only that my husband wants to retire and we want to travel, so we have a RV that we are going to stay in for a while until we get tired of traveling then we will get us another house to live in closer to my family. So who ever has my top would you please mail it to: Donna Graef PO Box 42 Orlando Oklahoma 73073 after every one is done with it, also you can mail the next top I have to do to the same address. My mother is making me a sewing room in her home and that's where I will be doing my sewing after we move there. As far as the mailings for the children I will continue to have them sent here until I post that I've moved. Well with that going to get busy sewing children quilts and will check back here in few days. Take Care and God bless,
Donna

Vanogay 06-01-2013 12:50 PM

I'm finished my row and ready to mail whenever you're ready to receive Sauki1. Let me know.

Sauki1 06-01-2013 03:58 PM

Vanogay,

Sure, you can mail it to me. I'm going to be a couple days late on my row but it should be out soon. I think I have Luv's top now (the angels). It's been a busy time for me and I'm focusing on it to get out soon.

Just a reminder to everyone else. Today is our date to mail our rows. Pleae let us know if you have or will be mailing your row and when.

Thanks all!

Angie

Donna,

Good to hear you all are ok there. I will remind the person who mails your top to you to use this address. :) Enjoy your potential retirement and travel for sure :D

Vanogay 06-02-2013 07:14 AM

Angie, disregard my last comment in the PM I sent. I read that first before I got over here and saw that I can mail. Will get it out this week...

Sauki1 06-06-2013 02:22 AM

Vanogay, I got your row yesterday. Girlscouts1, I now have your star top. It arrived safely. :)

Vanogay 06-06-2013 03:35 AM

Would love to know where cats are - just curious...and Sauki, expect yours soon, you can send the gray fabric if you haven't already.

Sauki1 06-06-2013 10:21 AM

I haven't but I'll get it out probably by Saturday. I got my package from you yesterday. :)

Ok, here goes....it's been a heck of a couple of days sewing. I've been a mad woman! Anyway, below are several of the things done:

I sent Girlscouts1 Star top back to her today. First finished top??? It says it's due there on Monday. Here are a couple pics of it as it is now:

Vanogay - The grey material is on it's way to you. I sent it today. I couldn't remember how many checkerboard squares you would be doing so I sent extra. If possible, just throw it in the package and mail back. I have plenty of use for it here :).

I also finished another block for another swap on this board. Now, I only have two more blocks this month for the Birthday block swap in my guild and I'll be done for June! No procrastinating for me this month :)

Sauki1 06-12-2013 04:25 PM

Anyone get there packages yet?

Vanogay 06-12-2013 05:18 PM

Checking in - no, no new package - which should be the gray Irish Chain....

Sauki1 06-12-2013 05:33 PM

Did you get the fabric?

Vanogay 06-13-2013 03:07 AM

Yes, sorry I didn't send a PM. Got it Tuesday afternoon. Not doing any cutting until the rest of the quilt arrives, though. Have bunches of my 2" squares cut to go with the rest of everything.

Sauki1 06-13-2013 10:47 AM

Awesome, was hoping it reached you. Anyone heard from Girlscouts? I haven't heard if she received her package.

cuppy 06-18-2013 04:21 AM

Will be mailing out this weekend, got a little delay. The irish chain is looking good!!!!

cuppy 06-18-2013 04:37 AM

I have not seen the beach row robin , can someone post a photo if they can. Looking forward to see how it is coming along. Meow!!! I have received the cats. The cats are safe in their house, their mailing envelope, I have not opened them yet. Will do so soon.

Sauki1 06-18-2013 08:38 AM

Awesome Cuppy! Thanks for the update :)

Sauki1 06-25-2013 03:03 AM

Just checking in as we're a month into the next swap, has anyone not mailed their row out to the next person? Just trying to assess where we are and who's left to mail out so folks don't wonder. Thanks!

Lv2sew2011 06-26-2013 01:08 PM

As of right now I do not have any tops unless it at my mother PO and I will check that this weekend...
We are just about finish moving hoping this weekend is the last of it.

Donna

Vanogay 06-26-2013 02:23 PM

Still nothing for me, but it appears it might be a bit late (reference posting on last page). I am anxiously waiting it though...

QuilterMomma 06-27-2013 10:33 AM

Just an FYI, I checked and the last Girlscouts posted was the end of May stating that her husband got laid off and she had to go back to work. Just an FYI for you girls. Love the blue star, sure it brightened up Girlscouts day.

Lv2sew2011 07-09-2013 11:08 AM

We finally got finish moving, and Cuppy is asking where is her Beach Theme Top, as of now I do not have it, if you have it and ready to mail please mail to PO. Box 42 Orlando Oklahoma 73073 Thanks, also please mail my top to the same address. I've moved and no longer in Moore, Oklahoma. Thanks Donna

Lv2sew2011 07-09-2013 11:17 AM

Oh no sorry, I misunderstood your post. That is where I sent your top. I believe all the tops are with Cuppy and Girlscouts1 now as I don't believe you, myself or Vanogay have any at the moment.
