Well, it was a bit later than Monday - got the Irish chain today (Wednesday) and will start working on it soon. I have lots of small squares already cut, so perhaps I am ahead of this game!! Thanks for the update Vanogay. I haven't heard from Girlscouts1 yet but will keep trying. At the very least we need to know which tops she has and if unable to finish them to send them along so the next person can complete their rows. Thanks again for everyone staying in touch. :)

No worries. Yes I have cat quilt, I will be sending out Friday. I do hope the Donna's angels ,and my beach row robin find there way home. Does anyone know where they are , or know who was the last to mail?

I mailed Donna's angels to Girlscouts1 during the last exchange. This one we just did I had Girlscouts1 top and returned that to her at the beginning of July I believe.

So Girlscouts has her quilt all finished?

I finished it early and sent it. This was prior to finding out all this info. I posted about it when I sent it. I can only assume she has it as she has not responded to my PMs sent.

No unfortunately, still no word from Girlscouts1. I suspect she has Cuppy and Luv2sew's tops. My top is with Vanogay, Vanogay's top is with Cuppy and Girlscouts1 has her top (or I suspect she does as I sent it to her). Did you have any luck contacting? No response to me.

I would be willing to finish rows if she is unable to do so. We just need some contact to see what's happening.

Hi all checking in wondering if my top is ready, I still haven't received the beach theme top yet. My new address is PO Box 123, Orlando, Oklahoma 73073....If anyone has heard from Girlscout1 Please ask her to just go ahead and send my top back to me, I know she having to work now and most likely don't have time to do it. And I will just finish it up my self. I still haven't gotten my sewing room up and ready yet, between My mother and I we've been sick off and on plus a lot of working to get settled in...

Vanogay , I mailed your row robin out this morning with tracking and it was insured. You should receive soon. It seems as my row robin is missing. I will let the coordinator know. Well it was great sewing with you all. Maybe we will meet up in another swap.

Thanks for all your help Cuppy. I sent a registered letter to Girlscouts1 this week, in hopes of receiving a response. I have exhausted just about every avenue to get yours and Luvs2sew's tops back, finished or otherwise. I'm hoping to get some sort of response from my letter to let me know where she is in the process and what her plans are. Any news I get will certainly be passed on to you guys. I'm really sorry that this has happened and will do what I can to resolve. I have also sought the help of our interim leader Quiltermomma to help in resolving this problem.

My cats are home. They arrived today. Has anyone seen the journal that went with it? It did not make it home. Don't know really how far it went with the quilt, but if I could, I'd like to get it back. Thanks everyone for working on this. Hope all the other quilts make it to their proper homes. It may be a bit before I get to finish the quilt, but I'll sure post a picture when it's done.

No, unfortunately not. I have tried several things. I have PM'd her numerous times, sent her a registered letter via USPS (which she did receive) and gotten the coordinator of this exchange involved to try and contact her. Nothing has worked. In my PMs and my letter, I have asked her to send me the quilt tops regardless of their state and I would finish them. Again no response. I feel just awful for you and Cuppy. I'm out of ideas to encourage a response. Anyone else have any?

Been following thread for inspiration....in regards to girlscout1! In boom 9 Indian group, she posted on 5/30 that her husband was laid off, that she was retuning to work, that she is behind on her swap obligations and not going to be able to meet her obligations on time. Also stated she is withdrawing from future swaps. She has not posted since. I wish you guys luck in getting your tops back. Maybe offer to pay postage for thier return. Sounds like they are having financial difficulty....

Alikat110, thanks for your info. I saw that post as well. I was just hoping that maybe I could get n touch with her through snail mail. Hoping to let her know that these folks were waiting for their tops. I'm very familiar with unexpected things changing your life and can sympathize. But, we do need to try and get these tops back. Maybe offering to pay for postage will help. The only thing we need is a response to the attempts to contact. I feel awful that these may be lost. We'll just have to keep trying.

Only thing is there no way we know she will send the tops back even if we paid for the postage. They were insured is there anything we can do with that? I so wanted my top back even if I had to finish it myself. You know she could at least let us know what she wants us to do about our tops. This is so unfair! :-(

Hey everyone! Good news, I have my primitive angels top back girlscount1 had done some work on it and the angels are awesome. I also have the beach theme top, my question is do you want me to send it to you or do you want me to make the row for it. I have it also, I'm still having to wait to sew because my mother and I are having to move stuff around to work on the sewing room and between me and mom being sick a lot it's hard getting it back together if you don't mind waiting until we get my sewing room setup I don't mind working on the beach theme. I guess I could set my sewing machine up in my RV and work on it but there not much room. Let me know what you would like me to do. I just so happy to get them. So Girlscout1 thank you for what you were able to do with the top I love your little angels you made for it. And for the rest that work on my top thank you as well it looks lovely. Ok will be waiting to hear what you want me to do with the beach theme top...Donna

Oh Donna that's wonderful news!!! I think it will be up to Cuppy what she wants you to do with her top. Let's give her a couple days to think on it and I'm sure she'll get back with us. I'm sorry yours wasn't more complete but you have it back and that;s definitely reason to celebrate.

I'm so glad it appears everyone has her project back (or almost, anyway - with the beach). We're so very lucky, sometimes one will really get lost. I hope Girlscouts get back to being a full time QBer and things in life get better for her. Well, I've worked on the sewing room today got most of the stuff we wanted out of there out! :-) Should be able to start sewing again early next week. I'm almost a happy camper again...LOL Just excited to almost be done with it so I can sew again..

No I haven't and there is a bag for me to add my row, I'm waiting on fabric to work on her top! But it is safe and sound and in my hands....

I am happy the angels made there way home, and the mermaids on the beach row. I do believe in angels and mermaids . Donna it would be great if you could do your row. Thanks. I was in another row robin group and the theme was puppies and dogs, and the top is finished, ready for quilting, it so sew dog gone cute.
