Yep, I saved it special for her.

I had to change it up a bit. It will get to Anna in time for her to have some fun when she comes back from vacation.

Oh awesome on the switching up. Anxious to see some photos of where we are at ladies.

peggiszo 06-07-2013 05:54 AM

Hi Beth, Block are in the mail. Sorry a little late had a change up in ideas and took a little longer than expected. Be watching! hugs peggy

Annaquilts 06-08-2013 02:47 PM

Hi from up north. We got sporadic internet connection. Maybe that is good? One should probably not spend the majority of their vacation on the computer. At this point I am sleeping and sleeping some more. The kids are having fun swimming and biking. The dog made the drive and loves it now we are here. Wighrose soon after I am home I plan to start your row. I have some ideas playing through my mind. The pictures I have seen look so promising. these rows are gorgeous and I hope I can add to it the right blocks and patterns. Did you get the modern Dresden plates? I send them off before I left.

Can't wait to see what you do with the third machine. It's a replica of my 187? Davis VF machine.

Whew, off in the mail today so when Anna arrives home she will have it to start those fresh ideas she is going to do. I am anxious awaiting Annas so I can get that done and then sent off to her. How you doing there Peggy? Is it coming along ok?

Here is a shot of Whigrose's:

Whigrose 06-10-2013 09:25 AM

Beth, Love, love, love what you've done to the rows! The machine you added looks to be a Singer 29- used for leather work, boots, shoes, etc.

going a bit batty on a project I'm working on so hoping you have a 'spot' of something good in that teapot ;-)

The little machine in the second row from the top is a Willcox & Gibbs. It does a chain stitch. Might be putting her to use on my winter bowling league team t-shirts -Lucy, Ethel, Laverne & Shirley ~giggle~ We're old, not too fast but pretty darn good. We came in 2nd out of 16 teams.

QuilterMomma 06-10-2013 09:29 AM

YES!! You are correct, that is what it is. Thought you would like it. My DH liked the look of this one versus a couple of other drawings I had.

QuilterMomma 06-10-2013 07:12 PM

I have Anna's row now. Thanks Peggy. I am already on it so I can get out asap.

Whigrose 06-11-2013 08:35 AM

I received the package from Anna yesterday. Won't be opening it for a bit - working on a huge project and I don't want to get distracted like I know I will be when I hang those rows on the wall. That is going to be one gorgeous top! Can't wait, can't wait to get into it.

best,
d

QuilterMomma 06-12-2013 07:32 AM

So many ideas running thru my head on Anna's row. What to do, what to do. Being the last row, I think it makes it a bit tougher to decide how best to finish it.

Looks like someone was staying up late doing some fun! Beth, this looks great for Anna's top.

Annaquilts 06-13-2013 06:59 AM

Oooohhhh! It looks lovely and you are fast. Can't wait to see more and but it up next to the other rows.

QuilterMomma 06-13-2013 07:27 AM

If I have my way, I will finish this up tonight and put in mail tomorrow so will be there when you get home from vacation Anna. That is if I have my way. Daughter is going to be on the Junior Advisory Board for the Spokane County Fair, which I am thrilled because she needs this to be a canidate for the Lilac Parade Queen or one of the princesses. So will be attending that. I have the whole row appliqued now and I just love it! So glad this design popped up in my search thru my magazines a while back. I saved all my house pattern ideas just for your Anna. Once I mail this, I will be finished with working on this row robin and then I have three more rows in #11 to do because we gat behind a bit. So those will be fit in inbetween my show quilts that need to be done.

QuilterMomma 06-14-2013 08:21 AM

If the river don't rise and the sun comes up, I should finish Anna's row tonight and mail on Monday. That will be a thrill to have it done and on its way home to her.

QuilterMomma 06-15-2013 04:45 AM

The sun came out and we will have 80 degrees today. Whew, the river did not rise. I finished up Anna's row last night, put in the package and it is ready to go out on Monday am in time to reach her when she gets home. I am totally thrilled with it and she is going to jump for joy. Of course, she will need to finish Deb's row before she gets to complete hers. LOL

babeyruth 06-15-2013 06:28 AM

QuilterMomma 06-15-2013 09:02 AM

Yep, Peggy should be the person you mail to anyway. So awesome for sure, two grown up rows going home from their happy trail trip.

Hi All,
I finished at the Beach last night. Of course all the rows make it big so it's hard to fit in one pic. My row is the second, the rows are not attached. I also took a close up of the pelicans, I thought they came out cute.

Enjoy!

Annaquilts 06-16-2013 05:19 AM

Wow! This quilt came out so nice. Yes indeed the pelicans are very cute and I really like the log cabin water blocks and sun too. Very nice addition.

Whigrose 06-16-2013 02:33 PM

Oh my goodness, cute, cute, cute! This is a happy quilt. I sure hope we get to see a picture when it has been assembled and quilted out.

d

Just a peek, thought to keep as a surprise for Anna, don't want her to rush home just so she can assemble her top already. She does have a couple more days of vacation.

Annaquilts 06-20-2013 11:02 PM

I am back and the rows are here. I already received my completed row and I am THRILLED with all the rows added. Thank you ladies! Beth's row ties it all together with the home/love saying, colors, pineapple and traditional blocks to each side. Beth if you have a picture of your completed row please feel free to post.

Whigrose, your rows are here and I think you will be so happy with the ones already done. I will try and add a row that will do the rest of the work justice. I have some ideas but have not locked in yet.

My internet is having problems and some one is coming to look tomorrow. so if you do not hear from me that is what is going on.

You can tell the time of day I took the photo. The way the sun shines on it. My design wall is in the entry way and slides up next to the stairs. There is a large window at the top of the open stairway. These rows have been fun to work on and I have truly enjoyed doing them. Wonderful themes.

Annaquilts 06-21-2013 01:18 PM

whigrose Please share which way you see them organized. I was thinking the row with home/love on top but I had no idea on how to do the others. Now I see how Beth put them I like the home/love on the bottom too.

Originally I was going to put sashing between the rows but I really like how they but up against each other. Any thoughts on that?

How about a scrappy inner border and a plain, green maybe, larger outer border?

I am so glad I did this swap. It is my first of this kind and I sure enjoyed it. Thank you all, also for keeping in touch and keeping the rows moving.

I hope everyone will be as happy with their rows as I am.

Anna,
My first thought seeing them on screen was to move Beth's row under the top one. The rows as they are pulled my eyes to the top row and bottom row and left everything in between very busy.

If the two rows with the white were put at the top in either order, it would leave the three remaining rows as a story board. I like your idea of butting rows together- maybe put sashing between rows one, two and the bottom group of three? (see pic for an example)

Personally, I like Beth's horizontal row between row one and the group. It lets the eye settle down for a bit. But, however you choose to join your rows, please do share with us. You know Beth and I will be 'knocking' on your door if too much times goes by.

I put the photo into Publisher and did some playing around. Here is an idea of how they would look.

Your rows are adorable! Enjoy.

d

I love those fun folksy blocks. Great job ladies!!!

Annaquilts 06-21-2013 07:43 PM

Yes, that looks good too. Thanks! I would have never thought of it.
Still wondering if the honey bee row should go on the bottom. It seems a little more in the country side and then cluster mine and whigrose's row making "town". Lots of fun and options.

Oh goodness, I bet Peggy is exstatic to receive them. Well that is two back to their homes, three more to go. No worries, the deadline is the end of July so enjoy the process.

babeyruth 07-01-2013 07:00 PM

Hi everyone! I received an email from Peggy, she is having a hard time posting on here and asked me to pass her message.

"Hi Ruth, I am having trouble replying to our row robin site. I tried 3 times and it won't go thru. I received my package in the mail! The rows are so beautiful!!!!! Everyone did such a great job on them. Thank you so much! Could you get a message out to the girls that I received my rows and how happy I am. Also tell Beth hers will be in the mail today! I will keep trying to get a message thru. Thanks so much. Peggy Szozda"

QuilterMomma 07-02-2013 06:03 AM

I am excited to know my rows are coming home! Yippeeeeeeeeeee. So we have Whigrose and babeyruth to go to finish these rounds up. Wow, it is almost over.

Annaquilts 07-02-2013 06:06 AM

QuilterMomma 07-02-2013 06:09 AM
