I didn't know about the 2 sizes either! I don't believe I've ever seen a large. It's strange how each post office is different. My post office will not put tape on packages, but they're more than happy to sell you some tape. :D

Aunt Janey 02-09-2012 12:45 PM

Mailed mine today. They made me take scraps out of envelope. Too full. They then retaped.
Hope it gets there ok.

Twisted Quilter 02-09-2012 01:43 PM

Whoa...I wonder what's going to happen when I take in 16 envelopes!

quiltymom 02-09-2012 04:05 PM

Mailed mine today!!!

dd 02-10-2012 04:57 AM

When you take in 16 envelopes, they will be soooo happy to see you! lol
You shouldn't have to buy tape. I was given a whole roll when my SIL was in Iraq. Still have it. They are so disorganized. No wonder they aren't making any money.
Hopefully they don't give you any trouble with all the pkgs.

I was doing multiple swaps a few years ago and had multiple envies to send and they all needed envelopes with return postage...the guy was SOOOO rude to me at the PO. He just looked at me and said you know...you are really holding my line up and I was so surprised I didn't say anything. But what I was thinking was..."WTF???"

SandyinZ4 02-10-2012 07:11 AM

Mailed my package off today! Can hardly wait for the shipping back day! :-) After reading some of your horror stories about PO's, I am glad I live in a small town with friendly staff. I kid with them each time I take a package in and tell them I am creating their job security!

Twisted Quilter 02-10-2012 12:39 PM

3 more packages came in today from dd, walk-n-roll, and ntaylor. Thanks ladies, we're getting close!

Boy ntaylor, you were'nt kidding! I thought DH was bringing in a baby.

Hey NCQuilter, I'll take the 1.5" squares if that's okay with you.:o

No mail today, maybe tomorrow.

judy_68 02-13-2012 05:43 PM

I mailed mine today. I had to take some out at the post office. I had a zip lock bag full and then added more to fill the corners. The lady told me it had to close without tape for me to be able to mail it so I had to take a little out. Then what did she do???? SHE TAPED IT!!! LOL
Judy

Twisted Quilter 02-14-2012 09:11 AM

Twisted Quilter 02-16-2012 02:13 PM

WooHoooooo, received Mzjwest's package. One more and the swapping begins!

Mzjwest 02-19-2012 08:09 AM

Did you receive the last package?? :o

Twisted Quilter 02-19-2012 11:14 AM

Last package should be here tomorrow. If not, I'm still going to swap everything out and get them in the mail.

SandyinZ4 02-20-2012 07:56 AM

If you mail them out on Tuesday, since there is no mail today, we should all be getting them by end of the week. Yahoo!

Twisted Quilter 02-20-2012 10:11 AM

Darn, I forgot about President's Day. Tuesday it is!

NCquilter 02-20-2012 09:34 PM

I can't wait to get them! I'll be anxiously waiting at the mailbox :)

Twisted Quilter 02-21-2012 02:46 PM

Packages should begin arriving in your mailboxes on Thursday. The guy at the post office was really pleasant. The envelopes appeared to be thinner than the usual ones. By the time I reinforced the closure flap and corners they looked like they had been in a war.

dd 02-22-2012 05:21 AM

Thank you for doing this swap. Can't wait to get mine.

ntaylor 02-24-2012 11:34 AM

Aunt Janey 02-24-2012 01:49 PM

I received my package of goodies (scraps) today. Thanks so much for hosting this swap, Bev. I think there might be a kiddie quilt coming out of some of them. Sure fun to look at. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Mzjwest 02-24-2012 07:50 PM

Got my package today!! How fun! Can wait to see what great quilts they will create. Thanks Bev for hosting....It has been a lot of fun...

sewbeadit 02-25-2012 03:07 AM

I received my scraps on Friday and they are great. I can tell my swap partner likes the same kind of fabrics I do as I got some from her that were just like what I have in my stash.lol Was fun looking through all the little goodies. Thanks so much.

Twisted Quilter 02-25-2012 08:01 AM

Glad everyone is happy with their package! Thanks to all who participated.

can i at least see a pic or two? i want to live scrap happy vicariously through all of you since i couldnt participate this time around. pleeeezzzzzzzzzzz!!!!:D

Twisted Quilter 02-25-2012 09:58 AM

I tried, but my camera is dead. Just in case you don't get pictures, I will tell you that there were 2 groups of scrap swappers. The first group I called the Martha Stewart group. Swapper who took the time to neatly iron and fold pieces. The second group was called Roseanne Barr group. Assorted pieces just shoved in the bag/envelope. I'm a proud member of the Roseanne Barr group. :D

Patricia Faye 02-25-2012 10:23 AM

I received my package yesterday, but didn't get to the mailbox until this morning. I love the different ones I received & have a project I can use most them on. I'm one of the Roseanne Bar group, except I put mine in a large zip lock bag before inserting them in the envelope (just in case the envelope tore or opened.) Maybe I'm really a Roseanne Martha group!

Twisted Quilter, thank you so much for all your work on this scrap swap!

dd 02-25-2012 10:34 AM

I got mine yesterday too. Got some really cute fabrics. Some just in time for the March BOM. Thanks for the fabrics Aunt Janey and thanks for doing this swap Twisted Quilter.
