I have been having a flair, and I also have to watch out for my dad who lives by us. He is 80. I will let you great folks all know when I send out though, especially our wonderful host.

What a wonderful surprise! As I was napping, I was awoke to a horn honking in the driveway. Went out and the mailman handed me a package. Opened it up and here's what was inside...
Mary quilting you really made me feel better today! These little owls made me think of a set of owl measuring cups that Grandmother had. I always loved to help her make lunch when I was a little girl just so I could use them. Now I will always think of you as I use these. Thank you!! Tracy, we have twins! Aren't they just adorable? Mary did a g rear job on them didn't she? :) |

Laquita, you are in my prayers my sweet friend. Hope everyone heals quickly and you back to swapping soon. I am saving you a spot in the next one.
Speaking of the next one, I am tweaking the participant questionnaire and my spreadsheet. Hope to have thread up by the 22nd of the month, with a dead line of May 1. Swap names by the 3rd and everyone shipping by the 20th. So we can do it again in June. Awe, that's so sweet of you & thanks! I sure hope to be able to participate by then! :) |
They are adorable!! Love the fabric! I told Mary in my thank you PM that they remind me of the owl measuring cup set that my grandmother had. Along with helping her quilt, I loved to help her in the kictchen. Now, every time I use the owl pincushions and needlecase, I will think of two really special people.

Need to try and find some here in Spokane. I do have to travel this weekend, maybe check some other places for those walnut shells. Did you get them in Billings? Going for a wedding at end of month, could always get some there.

Here are 3 of the 4 pictures of the chocolate needle cases. They ones I decided not to do. I couldn't send #4 because the writing is very light and wouldn't show up on camera. The one on the left end say's "I'd give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter".
Since Tracey has decided to do this again, I'll send them another time. Anyway, I told Lynnie I'd put them up so here they are. Hoping I can get Lynnie's swap up tomorrow. It has been gray-gray here (took the chocolate last week), so no light . La Quita, so sorry for your troubles. Hang in there. |
Well I made progress tonight. Yes, I am up late as I am most of the time. I have most of one pin cushion done, but I will be making a mate to it. And, I have part of a needle book done.

I got a package today from Marilyn! (not sure of username). In it was a little turtle pincushion (I hope I got the turtle back where he was supposed to be, he came unglued during shipping!) and a LOT of other goodies like marking pens, a thimble, pink pens, a pattern, a nail file and a needle threader ! Thanks! I will send you a thank you PM as soon as I figure out who it is from username wise.https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...97137942_n.jpghttps://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...81135137_n.jpg
