Sewbizgirl don't be intimidated it is very easy but you just have to be careful because the toffee can really burn you. For anyone who hasn't tasted cinder toffee if you have ever had a Cadbury Crunchie Bar it is the middle bit. |

Molasses Cookies
Combine dry ingredients: 4 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves Cream together: 1 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 1 egg 3/4 to 1 c. molasses Combine dry and creamed ingredients. Put in refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Roll into 1" balls and roll in sugar. Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 6-7 minutes. |
For whatever it's worth, I like the idea of 12:00 noon opening for all no matter where you live.
