HAHAHAHA.....Quilt addict....your gave me a Golem flashback !!!

re: OPENING......If we did it at 4 East Coast time .... that would only be about 9pm in the UK/Scotland --- and would be 9am in Australia/New Zealand --- but it would be Monday morning....so some folks might be off to work there. (pretty sure my time math is correct )
Just a suggestion that would be more likely to catch folks from all around the world.

WooHooo! I got my Santa package today! All the way from Santa Anna, Tx! Which is probably @ 2 hours west of me. Maybe I can have a new quilting friend?? Thank you Santa! I'm sure I'll like everything in it. All the thought, kindness & creativity is greatly appreciated here. It's now sitting on the table by the front door taunting me to open since the tape came up on one end. My mail lady threatened to hold on to it til reveal day if I got into it though! I think she enjoys our swap as much as we do! Is is Dec 7th yet???

I'm not going to get to open with the group because I go to a meeting on Sunday nights... but I still think it's a good time, remembrance-wise. I will post my picture as soon as I can after the opening ceremony.

I think that I mentioned that I received my SS box last week. But now I'm not so sure I did. Been Crazy around here so if I didn't mention it -Sorry. Had to hide it- it is too tempting- and not just for me! I'm sure I will be thrilled with whatever I get-everyone on here is so talented!:)

mcdaniel023 11-19-2014 05:19 PM

No box for me, yet. That is just fine. It can't taunt or tempt me. Opening day and time are good for me.

dharen7 11-19-2014 05:37 PM

I get to work that day, so will get on when get home to see what everyone received. Never have learned how to do pictures if my grandson comes up I will have him do it for me. Made two homemade items for my SS all mistakes are mine which my sil calls an original

Hope everyone is doing well with all that cold white stuff back east.

I was mistaken since just glanced at the package quickly, but on closer examination it is from IN. No smells but jingles very nicely!

KarenK 11-19-2014 08:18 PM

Cattut - I made your Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge earlier this evening. Only had enough ingredients for half a recipe. This one is a keeper! Thanks for sharing.

m-fay 11-20-2014 02:56 AM

Nothing here yet........maybe today.........

I tend to agree HappyQuilter, When I travel, which isn't often, and not usually far, I always check out a quilt shop in the area for something different in material I don't have.

I have been playing catchup on the board for two days now as can't seem to get here and I see all kind of people that mailed out the last possible day, so hard as it is, maybe a few more days will day.

I have read and seen a whole lot of things I would have responded to at the time, but now, if I comment, it is kind of past stuff, lol, will seem a bit strange on some of it.

Nessie, I'm wondering how big your house is as every package seems to be headed your way, or at least from what you say, you think it should be, lol. Maybe you have happyquilter's package.

I too enjoy reading about anything and everything someone has to say be it food from their area, or medical things going on which I send prayers for everyone, or funny stories. This is like an escape, my happy place to escape to, so everyone, keep it up!!!

But I didn't realise how wonderful the blocks she sent would be......!!! They are fabulous. I don't know if the picture show how beautifully shiny they are... I am so looking forward to creating with hem.

Terri, thank you so much... They are fantastic.

:D AnngelAnne, my house is actually quite small (hubby and I greatly downsized, after kids grew up and went off on their own) BUT I have a shed in which to store those many gifts, until opening day! Oh, I'll certainly find spots for all of those goodies, which are SURELY coming my way! Funny, but I've only received ONE Secret Santa gift, so far. I'm beginning to become a bit concerned about all the others, as they seem to have been misdirected, somehow. :(

If MY socks ACCIDENTALLY go to YOUR house, you should feel obligated to send them to me! Right? RIGHT? RIGHT??? <sigh> :(

You should both make the trip to Arizona. We're one of the few in the country not freezing our toes off . . . even without socks.

Terri did tell me that she has her SS package. I hope she likes what I sent. I took photos so I will post photos of what I sent in case she doesn't.
I wish I could feel better about this.

And remember, good things come to those who wait. Or so I've been told.
