Oh no!!! I wandered in to a place that promises to distract me to no ends!!! I was reading my emails like I always do, when I came to the JoAnn's email... where I scrolled down to find free craftsy classes. So I shrugged my shoulders and ventured in.... huge mistake huge !!! I was pulled in against my will and now I can't find my way out. I wish I was able to obtain a few of them but it's probably a good thing I can't!!! LOL. I can "research" all I want without getting to trouble. Does any use the Craftsy patterns? Did you like Them? Tell me all about it. Tricia |

PenniF, your gifts to your 'pal' are so wonderful... you made so many beautiful handmade things and the fabrics, YUM. Thanks for showing us. I agree, there are SS people who are not following the thread, so they will open when they want to.
Can't wait to see all the rest of the packages after the reveal day! |

Bummer they didn't wait to open it, as per the rules :( but beautiful items. You should repost on opening day so we remember ;) and I do believe that the ornament swap and my ss swap are conspiring against me. I do not remember last year having this much temptation to open early!!

PenniF, Your handmade items are beautiful! I always like other quilters handiwork and hope I get some. My package hasn't arrived yet. Maybe tomorrow?
|
PenniF: Your SS is a lucky person...All the goodies are super great! My eyes went directly to that lovely teacup and saucer. Seeing this is my first SS swap (first swap ever), I am learning a lot by reading this thread. I will do better next year. Oh..no package yet but we did get snow 2 days ago and WINDY, last night got down to 16 degrees. Broke some very old records. Sunshine today!

PenniF was thinking cookies but was wanting chocolate but really fudge and this is realllllllly easy!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Ingredients 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1/3 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 1/2 cups powdered sugar 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup peanut butter Instructions Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and add milk and vanilla. Sift sugar, cocoa and salt together. Gradually add sugar mixture to milk mixture stirring until blended. Stir in peanut butter. I try to leave a few streaks of peanut butter showing but you can stir it completely in if you want. Press mixture into buttered 8-inch square pan. I line my pan with parchment for easy removal. Cover and chill. Cut into squares. Keep refrigerated. Notes This is a soft fudge, I slightly freeze my fudge for easier cutting then store in the fridge. Enjoy everyone! |
Another GREAT recipe for the file.....you cannot possibly go wrong when chocolate and peanut butter are involved together. Thank you Cattut !!
Thanks for all the kind words about the SS gift photo.....you are all very sweet. I take the compliments very much to heart, as i know what a creative bunch you all are. Back to the DSM for me....trying to get my next project finished tonight. |
OMGoodness............My Secret Santa package is sitting in my sewing room & it is teasing me every time I look at it!! How soon can opening day get here? Not soon enough for me, I will continue to be a Good Girl!! I promise!!
:D :D :D :D |
PenniF Your lady is one lucky gal. There is good and bad. The bad is I have not received anything yet but there is still time. The good thing is I don't have to keep myself in check yet. I also thought that the things I sent were fine until I saw the things you all sent. Hope my partner likes what I did send her. Already thinking about what to send next year. I have to climb out of the hole as I believe that I am getting my DH's cold (he loves to share) and I don't want to make anyone else sick. But save my seat I will be back. Prayers to all who are having health problems. Take care all and stay healthy. BrendaK

I've been pretty lucky, so far this year. I think it's mostly due to staying away from crowds. |

Remember, this is SECRET. You won't know who is sending to you and the person you are sending to, won't know it's you until reveal day in chat." Now that you've been reminded of the rules, you have no excuse! :D |
You guys are so bad! Just like kids trying to get around the rules. :D That's one reason I didn't send early. However, the package I sent is out for delivery, so be prepared to be tempted -- someone. I taped the package very well, so they'll be no accidental opening.

Had to move the box to the other side of the house. |

That date will be determined at a later time. Remember, this is SECRET. You won't know who is sending to you and the person you are sending to, won't know it's you until reveal day in chat." Now that you've been reminded of the rules, you have no excuse! :D Maybe I won't be able to hear my stupid SS package from the hole. |

Neesie, That depends on if you are only in this swap, and haven't kept track of others you have swapped with. At least if people put their real address for the return. But it's still fun to wait and be tempted. Getting louder Open Me, Open Me!

That would be okay with me Dedemac I would have delay making supper a bit but I could do it. I had to check the calendar for the date. I'm not going anywhere that day, and I'm not sure if anyone else would have to do the same.... but I could work around it. Tricia |

I wish I knew for sure that secret Santee got her package... Post office says it was delivered, but so many people have been arrested in the news for stealing packages off front porches....

My SS pkg was mailed eons ago and I have never heard from her either. I could say something about that but I remember that I promised I would be nice. So nice it is. Darn it! I did take pictures though and will show them when the time comes. Think I'll go visit in the hole now. |

DH and I eat supper early but I think for once we can eat at a later time. Actually anytime is okay with me, I'm flexible. My SS box is sitting in the living room with Santa Clause. DH won't put him in his box to rest between Christmas and next Christmas. He is 4 ft. tall and I have to admit is very charming. It's funny cause no one that has come in has mentioned that did we know that Santa is visiting in the corner? Such polite neighbors.

My package from my SS is on top of a trunk in my sewing loft, waiting. I may have to move it because every time I go upstairs into my loft, it's staring me in the face, tempting me. It doesn't jingle, it doesn't rattle. No clues! Humph!
|
It's arrived Jingling all the way from IL which is the same state I sent a package to! Unfortunately all the tape is secured and no holes in the box so no clues other then the sound. Thank you so much! Now the torture begins. Where to put the little precious????
Hope everyone is doing well with all that cold white stuff back east. |
