You are not on the list because you are not getting any pressies. You are a cry baby and have nothing to cry about. Santa said so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dashing throw the snow in a 1 horse open sleigh over the fields we go laughing all the way.

NOT A CRY BABY!!! You just want to make me cry; And I am so getting a pressie, maybe even more than one. So there.

Dashing through the snow

What is the horse running away from you????

You are correct you might be getting more then one pressie, the word coal comes to mind, lots and lots of coal. Or another thing you might get is ugly FQ's and not even 100% cotton but a blend!!!!!!!!!!!!

littleone 10-13-2010 11:39 AM

Coal would be good for the cold nights (have lots of them here), ugly GQs could be used to make an ugly quilt (as a reminder of you know who). There is always a good use for what others would not want.

You're a mean one, Ms. Grinch
You really are a heel,
You're as cuddly as a cactus, you're as
charming as an eel, Ms. Grinch,
You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel!

I don't know what it's running from, your in the drivers seat and you can't even control the silly old horse. Maybe you spooked him when he seen your horns.!!!

:?: :?: :?:

I just bought the best fat quarters - some for me and some for my secret santa person so we both can enjoy them. They have to be washed before mailing - right?

lab fairy 10-13-2010 05:17 PM

OOPS

Short an Sweet 10-13-2010 05:19 PM

that's a very cute shirt

abonda 10-13-2010 05:20 PM

Do they have to be washed???? Really???? or is someone just being naughty???

Short an Sweet 10-13-2010 05:27 PM

it's under the Swap Home Page it's the first listing "Swap Rules"
5. When an activity includes swapping fabrics, they should be washed, dried and ironed and cut as precisely as your skills allow. Oranizers should not require they be starched or otherwise treated unless it's essential to success in the type of project involved. Those of us who don't normally prewash should make exceptions when joining in group activities. It's a courtesy to others who may have allergies or other health needs requiring smoke and animal free environments/supplies.

So I have had the boys out hunting for the grasshoppers, they are on their way in. Just have to have them dipped in chocolate. I wonder who will be getting one. We will just have to wait and see.

Ya, we can grow them pretty big here, lots of tall wheat fields. the ones in the picture are average size.

Mos recipes use white milk, the chocolate milk is so much better.

You breed em big in your country, we have a plague of them here in Victoria Australia at the moment, thank goodness they aren't that big, or they would be eating the wildlife as well. LOL

cbridges22 10-13-2010 09:26 PM

Alright,I am afraid to post anything here,I see trupeach is on the naughty list and I don't think I want to be there.I did find some candy in Denver that looked like cole but tasted like cinnamon it was really good. Those grasshoppers are just plane evil!

PurplePassion 10-14-2010 04:43 AM

Just wondering, can't find it here---are the fat quarters suppose to be washed before sending them ?

sandpat 10-14-2010 05:14 AM

Oh, those grasshoppers from the hunt look delicious!!! I bet Peachy's mouth is watering already. And how nice, they are already on a stick for dipping!

I'm so nice that I'm gonna give my share to someone else....I love to share ya' know.

Short an Sweet 10-14-2010 05:28 AM

go to the HOME page,
then to Member Swaps and Round/Row Robins,
then to RULES FOR SWAPS AND SIMILAR ACTIVITIES - Updated 10 August 2010 ,
then to the #5 rule on "fabrics in swaps".
Hope this helps

I don't wash anything before I send it. I usually TRY to put a note in the package as to whether or not it's been washed. Most of the FQs I send are what I have cut from my stash, so most of it HAS been washed. If I buy them already cut, NO, I don't wash them first.

thelondonzoo 10-14-2010 06:21 AM

I won't be washing my FQs. Better to let my SS wash it in case she/he has allergies and uses a special detergent.

Jennifer22206 10-14-2010 06:49 AM

I've purchased three fat quarters already and didn't wash them. They have a label on them and I didn't want to take that off. So I'll just leave a note that they are (obviously) not washed. Is that against the rules?

When I prewash I use baby detergent because its safe for all skin and its not scented. Plus I'm really sensitive to certain detergents. Whenever I get blocks from a swap I rinse them in my soap in case anyone used a detergent I'm sensitive toward.

if labels are still on the fabric, I'm thinking people will know that the fabric has not been washed. If you DO wash it, maybe put a note in saying it's already been washed.
I really have never gotten anything in a swap that said it was washed or not. I usually don't wash before I sew UNLESS it's for a swap.

This isn't Rocket Science. Don't over think things.

PurplePassion 10-14-2010 06:53 AM

Sounds good to me. Thank you

Jennifer22206 10-14-2010 06:59 AM

Awesome advice. Will do! Im having fun with this swap, I think I have a few people willing to help me steer my person on the wrong direction! Now to start thinking of ways to put my action into action!

Same here. I will let her/him know they are not washed. My preference is that they not be washed as well.

cbridges22 10-14-2010 10:42 AM

Wash,don't wash,I just want a pressie!

OMG now you did it. You know when you kinda throw up but it only goes to the back of your throat. Well that just happened to me that you have Christmas dinner. Then again my vertigo hit me bad yesterday so it could have been that.
