I hope I get on the LIST. I checked and sadly I'm not listed but not down and out yet. I have a few days before I start worrying.
|
Terry has been out of town & will probably update when she gets back.

Hi,
I was looking at swaps today and yours was on the top of the list. The photos from last year's look great. I want to join. Need some time to think of what I will put in my info and then I will PM you. Thank you so much for posting and hostessing this swap. :-D :-D :-D |
I'm so stoked for this swap. I started a box today, hoping to have it full of goodies for some special quilter. 'Can't wait to see who I have!

It's not Rocket Science. I have asked everyone to give a list of likes/dislikes. If they can have candy/chocolate, they have specified so. The gift does not have to be quilt related. You will get all the info once I send it out to you in a PM. I will be out of town starting this afternoon. Will be back Monday afternoon. Won't have much computer time, but will have BABY TIME! I've given ya'll the link to see if you are on the list. When I get back, I will then add anyone else that has signed up/sent me a PM |
Thank you for hosting this. It is too bad that you have to threaten people who do not send, but there is so much dishonesty. I am grateful that there are still enough of us honest quilters to make this type of thing fun. Because it is fun!
|
So you send 4 Fat quarters and a gift, can the gift be non-sewing or is it all related to quilting? Do we also send notes or things before nov. 15th
|
Oh so excited, have started collecting items for my SS pal. and tomorrow I am going to the Creative Stitches show here in Edmonton, so much one can buy there. Fun Fun Fun!!!!!!!

That means we have to wait through Halloween, oh thats right we won't know who to buy for by then. Then comes Thanksgiving and finally December is here and we have to sit and stare at a package we can not open until ??????? I must have patience. I am an impatient person. Oh I will wait. I must. It is late and I am going on and on, so good night
|
Last year we opened them the Sunday after Thanksgiving in the United States.

I have been reading all of your posts..and it makes me chuckle. We are like kids at Christmas time. I remember laying awake all night on Christmas eve...I could hardly stand the wait. The child in us has never left.
Peace and blessings, |
I would love to join this secret santa swap. I am a new member(but a longtime lurker!) and a fairly new sewer. In fact I must go introduce myself in the intro section, but first the important stuff.....looking in the picture section (my fav-o-rite!). Will send my info in first though. Have a great day everyone, Robin
|
I'm going to sign up also! I had so much fun last year!
I just want to add that it might not even be that some people are more "generous", but that some people might be in a position to spend a little more. When shopping for last year's swap I could have and would have spent much more except that hubby was unemployed, we'd lost our housing, were living with wonderful family and I just couldn't swing it financially! I wouldn't want to be considered cheap if I "HAD" to stick to the budget. So...that's my 2 cents worth...lol I will PM you with my info in the next day or so! |
Went to a yard sale and spent $1 and got something very cute for the swap. Now I'm off to my LQS to pick out some FQs.
|
Don't forget, handmade is always welcome. I haven't gotten too many small handmade things but the ones I have I will cherish forever and have a special place in my sewing space.
Suzanne (who has already begun shopping for her pal too) |
I am window shopping but not buying a thing until I get my name and see what fabrics she likes. I would hate to get something she would hate.
|
I love handmade gifts. It means that someone was thinking about me when they made it.
And I'll be making something(s) for my partner. I did make 3 little purchases, but they're super generic so I've put off purchasing until I know my partners name and her likes/dislikes |

LOL you gals!!! I think it's "bee's wax".... the "whacking" part comes from what you want to do to bees.

Count me in also. PM sent earlier. This seems so exciting, I can hardly wait.
|
Remember ladies, even if you use your stash and make a tablerunner, candle mat, table topper, placemats, napkins, aprons, pincushions, thread-catchers, etc., these gifts are appreciated also. That way, you already have the material et al and just need to make the item(s) and send using the money you saved on postage.
Also, use fabrics from your stash to make FQ's, then you can use pretty ribbons, trims, etc., to tie together. Have fun! |
