Krystyna I think you have plenty of stash, patterns, and other goodies to do the swap. I remember your pictures of the multitude of fabric you had. I'm sure no one would have a problem with you not shopping. I guess you are out numbered, so sign up before it's to late. Oh, you also have jam, don't forget.

Krystyna 08-30-2012 02:24 AM

You know, some of you can be very pesty. :hunf:

Us pesty? Now where did you get that idea? But I do too share with the rest! JOIN US AGAIN IN THE SWAP. On a serious note, not that I wasn't serious to begin with, sometimes all of us individually have things in life that are more priority and we do have to take a back burner on some things...so if you don't join this swap for sept. then I say that there should be a penalty for you: you send us all of your great jam!
;)

Krystyna 08-30-2012 04:19 AM

Jam? What jam?

Quilty-Louise 08-30-2012 04:51 AM

I'm being good :p

Of course I have been working and can barely keep up with
my own name much less the board lately.

I work today than I have a 4 day weekend. YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everybody...I've been away for the past couple of months working my way through Massage school...I've missed deadlines to sign up...school has been so very challenging, but I am loving it, AND I have soooo missed all of you and reading the posts...I have not even had much time to just look, but I've been missing you too much, so I just sent a PM to Lori this morning and I'm in!! I have next week off from school, so I can get my package done then!! Hmmmmm...now who will it be??? :)

LAQUITA 08-30-2012 06:59 AM

Sent in my info to Lori, I have quite a stash of 'stuff' I have been collecting when on sale and so forth for my SS. So I asked for 3 this time!! Hope 'who ever' I gets likes what I send, of course i'll have to wait to 'personalize' wach box until i get her info...... hum..wonder who 'they' will be? Wonder where 'they' will live? Far or near?

I so enjoy these swpas ladies, thanks for the time and effort you all put into making each one special.
Have a blessed day.

Beeboop71 08-30-2012 11:45 AM

Beeboop, you work in the Chrysler Bldg? That is my favorite building in all of the world! My late MIL lived in a penthouse on Park Ave and I used to just sit on her balcony and enjoy that view. I was able to tour it once..just so wonderful!
Yes I have been in this buidling for about 2 years now and I really enjoy it. I think the best part for me is I have access to the subway right inside the building so when the weather is horrible I don't have to worry about it cuz the train leaves me right under my desk as my DH likes to say....lol The building is gorgeous and it is always filled with tourist taking pics of the lobby since there is no observatory like the Empire State Building. I enjoy watching tourist enjoy what our city has to offer. My dentist is on the 69th floor of the building and it is quite a view from up there. A little scary but none the less it is breathtaking! I only work on the 12th floor so no view here, other buildings block everything. My old jobs I was on the 28th floor with a view so when I go to my dentist thats when I take it all in... :) I hope you weren't in the area of the Empire State Building the day that man shot and killed his ex boss in the morning. I think it happened the day you left. That was madness! So sad that people will take another person's life like that.

Krystyna 08-30-2012 12:09 PM

LaQuita, how are you doing? Did you have the surgery? How is your daughter?

brenda21 08-30-2012 01:08 PM

This is one of the only swaps that I am able to complete from my own stash and sewing room nine out of ten times!

Krystyna- If you send me beach plum jam I'll send you some red raspberry jelly. If by chance you get me as your secret pal.

Vanogay 08-30-2012 03:00 PM

Krystyna, don't worry about making the packages special by shopping - I agree with Jaba - make them special with what you have. I'd love to receive one from you. SIGN UP!

Vicki W 08-30-2012 03:17 PM

I am in, couldn't miss the fun.

I have some apple butter I just canned up... Canned jellies, jams and butters swap!! lol

TheMamaHauser 08-30-2012 05:52 PM

OMG apple butter! I grew up in Western NY and all things apples remind me of growing up.

ESPECIALLY apple butter. It's epic. And no matter how much companies try, there is no duplicating home-made apple butter.

marytoddliz 08-30-2012 06:33 PM

I have my package all together (except maybe favorite colors, and if I have on hand something they love!) I was going to ask a profound question of utmost importance~ slipped right out of my mind! I hate it when that happens~

Maybe I will be back later if I can remember what it was!!!!

Lori Peercy 08-30-2012 07:33 PM

susansomethings 08-31-2012 01:24 AM

Hi ladies, I have been away for a bit. Took a trip to Pa. for a week. Came home this Tuesday evening about 6 pm. Wednesday morning I was stripping my livingroom of all it's glory, all wall decor, which includes a bunch of antique/vintage wall pockets & of course pictures. Then all the whats nots on the stands, furniture out, area rug out, then pull a gazillion little nails out of walls. Then trip to Lowes for paint. Called my girl friend Cathy, who I knew would be glad to help me paint. She was here by 6 pm Wed. evening. ...she painted the ceiling. I started doing the trim. We stopped at 9 pm. She returned in the morning about 9:30 and we painted fast & fourious.... So by 8 pm Thursday night we had all painting done as well as all the area rug & furniture moved back into the livingroom ! Yes in just a little over 24 hours the room was put back together...except for those gazillion wall pockets & other wall decor. My DH stayed hidden the whole time...its one of the few things he does not like to do ..paint. So then I sat down ...looked for this months sign up ...filled out the info ..yes I'm in. Although I have a lot of other things to do, as my son is getting married on the 22 & I am expecting company to stay with us, but could not pass up the SP Swap. Maybe with all that will be going on I won't be disparing at the mail box this month.... :)

SEGASAL 08-31-2012 06:49 AM

I cannot beleive that sign up is almost over... I hope we make it to 100! that would be Awesome! Can't wait to get my name... Going to fun this month...Well I am off to work on my ren faire costume for a wedding at the end of September!
:D It's Scots - the literal translation is, 'Long may your chimney (lum) reek (smoke)'.

In other words - 'Have a long life!'

That is good to hear. I was taking it kind of literal, but didn't know what a LUM was. And What the heck that smell was you were wishing on us all!!!! Ha! Ha!

Please Krystyna, come back to us. LOL We Love You So. :D

mdall 08-31-2012 07:19 PM

BTW, I know for a fact that someone is gonna be receiving some homemade strawberry and some apple pie jam this month. Not sure who yet but hope you like it. May just throw some salsa and kraut in there too.

Anastasia 08-31-2012 07:48 PM

I would love anything from anyone's stash, anything they wanna get rid of, any candy, any baked goods, any canned goods (and if any one has any asparagus and knows the recipe for sweet bread and butter pickling juice, please dear god pickle me some asparagus in that and send it my way!!!) and fabric cause well I have scraps for stash and I'm slowly building through these swaps and apparently I'm not half bad at this sewing stuff so.. I need more.. I love everything, I don't need anything personalized. I just like getting stuff that's NOT bills in the mail :) it at least gets me off the couch for 2 seconds.

I'm doing a boomerang block swap right now. I'm about half done. it's so much fun. School starts again on the 6th, but it's online classes again, and still no job, so I have plenty of time to make sure the couch doesn't float away.

My classes started back up Monday. It's been a rough week.

If you want to do a side boom swap, pm me ok? I just realized (68 pages of posts later) you're not in MY group. What's up with that?

Having grown up in a family with lots of apple trees ... FOO to apple butter! We had apples in everything. Apple sauce, apple butter, apple fritters, apple pancakes, apple cake, apple cider. You have no idea how I would long for any sort of food that was apple-less! But for those of you who love apples ... enjoy!

Krystyna 09-01-2012 03:36 AM

Well, the patriotic quilt for the Joann's employee going into the air force is almost done ... so since I'm bring it to the store, if I have to shop, I have to shop.

Fayzer, which would you like just in case I get your name. Strawberry, Apple Pie Jam, Salsa, Kraut, or all of the above. LOL Went on a canning frenzy the other week. Now on a beading frenzy. Stilettos fobs, and stitch markers.
