Very cute quilt. I've been working on mine this evening. I am going to a quilt retreat this weekend, will probably bind them there.

Finally got to the post ofc...partners (Dwina aka TOOMANYUFO'S) little quilt is on its way to Maine. Yesterday it snowed and today it is snowing, but the roads were not that bad so I guess it will be good moisture for the soil and trees and such......regardless, I'm looking forward to a little bit of spring....maybe some tea taken in the sunshine...sounds wonderful to me.
All the DQ"s are wonderful! |
Curious minds want to know. What is the Caveman method?
|
Have no clue!

Caveman cut is a freehand cut with a rotary cutter. You do soft curves. The DQ quilt I did for lisa was my first try at it . So give it a try, it was fun . Then you don't have to do a binding on your DQ. I don't like to do hand work it hurts my hands.

Need pictures, tutes, explaination, something. Found HGTV video that won't load and the Ricky Timms sight has something wrong with it. Most info I found was very vague, I usually catch on quite quickly, but just not seeing this.

I forgot to say you have to put your Batting on bottom, DQ middle, and Baking on top ,backing should be in two pieces. Sew the two backing pieces together leave about 3 to 4" open so you can turn it right sides out. Then Sandwich your DQ 1. Batting 2. DQ top 3.Backing Then do your soft cuts on all four sides. I hope you understand this. I'm not good at this.

Happy Spring!!! The gardeners showed up at the apartment complex today ... and then it started to snow! Hahahaha!
The caveman thing sounds fascinating. I need a break from veils so I think I'll go hunting. |
