M-Fay, I have been trying to figure out what could be the difference. I came up with a couple things. I hand quilted with clear thread, underneath the blades of the pinwheels. I folded the blades back , held them with one hand and hand quilted a line just on the black fabric to the backing--not on the blades--I did a straight line hand quilting line. I then continued this around the pinwheel making sure when I let the blade down that my line didn't show. I wanted to make sure the batting didn't shift as it was polyester and quilting was recommended no more then 4 inches. So perhaps that combined with the fact that I washed it to get the chalk marks from the hand quilting, caused the wrinkling and movement you are seeing. I actually thought that the pinwheels needed ironing as some of them look wrinkled, but now I am thinking of leaving it the way it is and the person that gets it can decide if they want to iron them. Hope this might help. If you are referring to the circle effect, I can describe that as well.

I went back and added more quilting to my WH, quilting the background so it wouldn't be so loose. Don't know if you can tell from this photo, but it holds together better now.

Oh Goodness, I feel so dumb. I have been getting all excited because I thought the swap ended tonight. Then I was looking for Rhonda's ready to mail list and couldn't find it. So I read the first page and light bulb went off......ohhhhh....the end of June. Insert head in hand emoji. There is another month before this swap ends. Well.....maybe I will start the wall hanging for the next round.

Just checking in!! Yep there is one more month to go!! I know a lot of you are ready or almost ready. I will be posting the list of ready to mail around the middle of the month.

Remember there is no stress here., If you aren't ready with your WH at the end of the month you can always use it for the next swap!!

Lots of flubs on my part and some postal issues along the way. Lots of OOHS and AHHs and a bunch of great conversations.
Wonderful swappers along the way. Some are no longer with us due to bowing out or passing away. I miss them all.

I have been so blessed to get to know many of you who have been with me in the swaps.
No I'm not quitting just reminiscing. I did try to stop at one time but I got such an uproar I kept going. LOL
I don't get in here as often as I should but I do like to pop in from time to time.

At least you were before the deadline and not after lol One swap I completely missed sending out addresses til about 5 days later lol some of the swappers were concerned for me and thought I might be sick but nope I just simply didn't keep track of time lol All was well tho after I sent out the addresses.

Thanks so much Rumbols but I seem to remember I really screwed up a package mailing lol It went to the wrong person and you had to send it to me to send it on to the right person LOL When I mess up it's usually a good mess up lol
I so enjoy all of my swappers. They have become good friends over the years. Thank you Rumbols for being my friend as well as sticking with me through the swaps.

Here is the names I have so far.

As usual make sure you let me know before midnight on the last day of June when you are ready to mail
If you are not on this list you will not get an address to send to.
Make sure you send me a PM when you mail and also let me know when you receive. This seems to be forgotten many times and I need to know to make sure everyone gets their WH.
Please remember this is a surprise swap. So if you have something you want to let your receiver know let me know and I will give her the information.

I never received an email other than one from Rhonda to verify an address for my person I pm'd Rhonda and she let me know that who she was asking about was my person and said it was okay to mail.
My package is ready and waiting to fly away. Our post office closed early for the holiday, so I will not be able to mail my package until Tuesday. I let Rhonda know.
