I am posting here and on the 3rd WH thread just in case. Our annual potato and corn festival started up this weekend and my job search is not realizing a lot of results so I was feeling a little blue yesterday. However, I went to the mailbox for our deliveries, and what do I find from Jaba???? The loveliest package with a wonderful note, a bar of hazelnut Milksa chocolate (my FAVORITE) and a fat quarter of quilting tags!!!! It definitely lifted my spirits!!!! Many thanks Jaba!!!!!!!

Ooh! Milka is gooooood! Have you had the Milka hot chocolate? It's awesome too! They make it in the Tassimo coffeemaker pods. When we first got our Tassimo, it was only available in Germany, so when we went to my boyfriend's family's in Denmark, we made a special trip across the border to Flensborg to get hot chocolate. Broight home 10 or 12 boxes of it & used it with espresso pods to make cafe mocha. MMMM!
We have some of the most wonderful quilting friends here. They offer advice, listen to us complain and sometimes whine, and lift our spirits when we need it. Pep talks and advice are free here or paid in quilted goods, all made with love and friendship, often going above and beyond what is asked for in our little swaps. I don't know what I would do without this group of ladies sometimes, even though I've only been here a little over a year.

@ post 132, JNCT14: Wow, how nice jaba.
I am wondering, does everyone here know what a haiku is? There will be one included on JNCT14s 3rd WH. I am working on the WH right this minute. I have the back pieced and now planning the quilting.
And dots. It has lots of dots.
Is potato & corn festival what I think it it is?
Also, never heard of Milka.
My stars, JNCT14
peace

yes, that is my favorite type of poem to compose! It is a Japanese style of poetry....Minimalist if you will....Google it to see the parameters.

WOW that is so cool ube!!! Milksa is a European chocolate brand - I used to get it all the time when I was working in France and Italy. I was really glad to find in USA.
Came home last night after 12 hours over a hot grill at Potato/Corn Fest. Cheerleaders parked cars and worked the hamburger booth as one of our fundraising efforts. They also did 2 exhibitions. North Branford Thunderbird cheerleaders ROCK. But I am not eating a hamburger or hotdog for a long time......:P
