Sherry, package all wrapped and ready to go...will try to get it to the post office tomorrow before noon and, if so, it should be to you by Friday at the latest. Again, don't laugh at the packaging...my son picked up another new pizza box but it was kind of a challenge getting it in because it keeps getting bigger and bigger! HE, HE

I pretty well knew what I was going to do for my row for you but after seeing all the applique that others have done, I'm not so sure. I'm not an applique-er (another new word?) so my row may be the only pieced row in your quilt. Gotta tell you, I'm a bit concerned. Any thoughts?? Suggestions??
Would whoever has Yvonnes' rows (when you receive them in the mail, that is) please post a picture of her original row? I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jane

Jane, I LOVE my row! I had to go looking for it. After Barbara replied I found it in my junk mail. It is perfect. I can't believe how beautiful everyone's work is. I have yours now, Jane. Just have to pick out which 30s fabrics to use. I have a couple of blocks in mind already.
As for Yvonne's row, there is a picture on here. Not sure which page yet.

Jane...the row you did for Mary is absolutely perfect!
I feel really bad that my row has caused so much trouble for everyone. It wasn't intended to be that way. In the rules it said you could use pieced, paper pieced, appliqued blocks and so when that design popped out of my head the only way I could do it was to do my row was by applique. If you go back and follow the thread think you'll see that I said whatever you wanted to do was just fine as long as it was in the colors I mentioned and there were suggestions along the way as to making a row of 5 quilt block trees or houses, etc. which were free on the web and did say that I truly wanted this to be fun for everyone.. to relax...do what you're comfortable with and as far as I was concerned it wasn't a competition. This was my first Round Robin Row and I truly am sorry. Barbara, if you would rather have just quilt blocks in beachy colors I would be happy to redo yours.

Yvonne, I am so looking forward to whatever you do for mine. Your work is exquisite. I think we are all nervous about disappointing you. You are such a gracious person.
I chose to follow your lead with your rows it was a stretch for me and that is the point for me. I totallt agree that a row of blocks in those colors would look great. That was my plan if mine didn't turn out
I have started Barbara's and theyvare embroidered. My block sizes differed from Sherry and Barbara. That is part of the beauty of these. The individualality of the row.

Thank you for your kind words Mary but I look at my work and think things like, "Oh, why did I do that", or " That curve doesn't look very round" or " Those posts aren't straight" or " That's just not the right shade"...never completely satisfied. I felt the same way you did about all of the rows I've done so far and will feel about the rows yet to be done...wanting not to disappoint. Still and all, it's been fun and I will do the best I can with your row. Looking forward to it!
Do have a question...have a Baby Lock but does not have embroidery capabilities but have thought a time or two about trading it in for one that does. Does it take a lot of thread to do a design, say 4" x 4"? It seems like you would have to have a whole lot of colors and isn't the thread rather expensive?

Yvonne, yours is not trouble--it's awesome! I think it's fun to try new things and learn more techniques. I've learned something on all 3 rows I've done. My seam ripper and I are very close friends. You are all such creative and inspiring ladies. I'm so much a newbie and I've just been hoping what I do will please each of you.
I want my quilt to be fun to work on and fun to look at. And I absolutely love what I've seen--so carry on, Perfect 10's!
