I love the log cabins! The whole quilt is coming together very well.

The traditional mixed with the modern is very beautiful. That splash of pink is the cats meow to me. What a treat it is.

Ok, I have finished the row. I can admit (now) that I totally lost track of time until Monday. BUT! It is done and I think it looks awesome. Ok. So, the first picture is all 3 rows together. Then, I took individual pictures of the blocks that were added by Pat_Sews and me. I had this idea that since this was the middle row, that the middle block should really pop - so I made a "glowing" Japanese lantern.

I just looked - we do! Did we accelerate then? Now I'm really confused. I thought I was super behind!

LOL -- I've been wondering why you were all hurrying so much. I actually went back and look to be SURE we have until April 1. You all had me thinking I was going a bit batty. The deadline is April 1, Roda, you are NOT behind at all. I will just hold on to the row that is coming your way until closer to April. It's all good.

I've been toying with the idea of some type of fan block for the Judy's quilt, but I can't decide how it will play with the more traditional blocks that are already there. I was thinking appliques of a few asian type things. Fans, bonsai trees, etc. Input happily accepted.

I went with the same style of blocks that were already in there but I went & raided the asian fabrics @ my LQS. I can't think of the line, but it was all from Hoffman (I think). Maybe you can find 1 or 2 different styles of fan that would work?

I guess I'll have a look at it when it gets here. Since you were so speedy quick, Kelly, I will have plenty of time to figure it out.

If it's ok, I will mail it either Friday or Saturday... if you're ready for it!

    Default Sent row on

Hi All, Its my Fault . I was thinking we sent the row the first of every month. OMG I had another full month. I was so worried I wouldn't get them in the mail by March 1 st. I cant believe I did that. Well they are done and I wont worry now for at least 2 months.. I still cant believe I did this. Sorry for throwing things off..
    Happy sewing.

    Pat
