Judith1005, What you've put together looks really cute! Why spend the postage to mail those in, when you could just sew the blocks together to complete a quilt top with what you have??! :-) Did you make 2 of all of them so you could keep one for yourself and trade one? I didn't understand your comment about "when the quilt is made up, it will have the light prints and the lighter prints more evenly spaced." When you trade them, you may not get an even distribution of prints back.

I disagree with you about the yellow and brown one. Send it in to trade! It's my favorite one, I'd be glad to get it. The polka dot yellow/yellow one doesn't have so much contrast-- that would be the one to keep.

Here's the first one I made.

"Put me in, coach" for month of Sept. = 1 set. This will help to reduce my stashes!! I've been wanting to make 1 or 2 kings for my DD & DS.. One day tho (you know one day IS NOT a day of the week?!!!

And, I'm okay with that. Sometimes, I get it in my head that I need to use a certain fabric. Sometimes, I just need to see that it's not quite what I thought. Thankfully, it looks like the sizes are okay and that most of my blocks will work and I will post a photo when I have them done.
I've been in the same boat. I've made a few HS blocks, thought the fabric combo was good and when I finished the block - -- - yikes!!! It didn't work out well at all. What was I thinking?? (or smoking or drinking??) LOL

Those blocks will be in my quilt or perhaps on the back used as a label!

Judith - your HS blocks look wonderful! I would happily take that yellow/brown block at the bottom! I think it's great!

Ladies - please be sure to LABEL your HS blocks on the back side. You may use address labels (if you're okay with that) or print our your QB screen name and attach it to the back.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi givio, pm your address and I will send you the yellow and brown for free. Yes, I wasn't sure about the 2 yellow one in. I will pull that one as well. But, I will keep it in mine. Yes, I made 2 of every block. One to keep, one to share. I'm not worried about the blocks I receive. They will all work great together. I'm totally good with scrappy. Besides, I love surprises.

What I meant, is if the pattern of the light seams a little "busy" I mix a couple of lighter calmer lights around them. And mix them throughout the quilt.
