So I had this chicken pincushion I have made, but my partner does not like a certain color that the chicken is. So I am back to square one. I have two of them 3/4 way done, one in the color my partner does not like - seems that is the main color in my stash right now of scraps - but the other should be just right. Making two so I have one for myself they are so cute. I am doing a little mouse. Will post photo when I am done with him. I have to pick up some walnut shells, used all of them up when I made a batch of chickens for my quilting students and the one for this swap. Will save it for a sweet surprise for the future.

So loving the owls and the flower pincushion. Such creativity.

I finally finished the needlecase for my partner. It was my first one ever, so hope she likes it. I will post a picture after she receives so I don't spoil the surprise for her. Need to find a couple other goodies to put in it too so will try and get it mailed out on Mon/Tues of next week. Now on to the pin cushion. The only hint I will give is that it has a theme of something she likes. If I say any more she will know it is for her. :-)

Size: 93.9 KBHere is a sample of the spoon pin cushion which is the one I decided on. This is one that Blue Cat (sister Laura) made for me years ago, and I just love. She made it out of one of Mom's Tablespoons, and fabric Mom would have adored, so it is very special to me (snerf).

I am doing well thank you. fell in November and gave myself a compressed fracture in the thoracic area. So now going in for a procedure next week to fix that. Is more frustrating than anything because of taking meds. I have gained back the 15 pounds I lost. That is depressing.

Now I can't find walnut shells anywhere in town. How goofy is that! So next option, the preservative plastic beads may work, rice, and out of the shavings. Maybe steel wool. That keeps the needls sharp.

oh, dear blue cat! i would but it's getting so i have more gorillas than teeth. remember they used to say you lose a tooth per child? well, i wouldn't have had the last 23 kids if i'd known it was real! do you think the new medical system will improve on that?

Hello everyone, enjoying reading all the posts , I LOVE bright fun colors like lime green & hot pink. I like cute little froggies , butterflies and antique roses, Which are in my bedroom and that is done in hunter green and burgundies which is also where' I sew / quilt.
    HTH my partners out!

The mice PC are fantastic! Good job everybody!
I signed up for 2 PC's, which are ready to be shipped to their new home. I will be making a trip to the PO on Monday. I happened to have fabric already in my stash that were the preferred colors of my 2 SP's. Hope they love them! Can I post pics before I ship them?

    needlecase

Received this cute little roll up style needlecase from Lynnie today. It' got a little pin cushion inside and enough room to hold thread, scissors, seam ripper etc. She also made me a drawstring pouch, décor stick pins and kisses, 2 short already...yum. This will be perfect for my upcoming trip Lynnie to keep everything in one place and altogether. Thank you so much, I love it and it's perfect in colors

All of the pincushions are so pretty, and all different. I love the needle book too.
