Dreamer, we "GOOD" people are often forgotten and taken for granted, aren't we???? I'm over here busting my backside making ornaments for trees for the unfortunate, quilting, sending off yarn to the worthy, and here I sit, in the bar, errrrr, naughty corner sobbing into my pinot grigio. Surely somone has a nice gift for me. Mine was sent weeks ago, delivered, and so far unacknowledged. Sigh............

Happy Thanksgiving Day everyone, even the "fureigners". As far as I'm concerned, EVERY DAY should be Thanksgiving, Mothers Day and Fathers Day. We should be thankful every day that we are alive, and grateful for our parents, children, and loved ones.
I had better get my SS package tomorrow or I am just going to spend the rest of the time in the bar....errrrr....naughty corner drowning my sorrows.
BTW, I saw the Egg Nog in our Wine & Spirits Shoppe yesterday, and the first ingredient is HEAVY CREAM! None for me, my acid reflux and lactose intolerance would really be in high gear. I'll stick to the wine...where is a loooong straw to go to the bottom of the bottle?????

"Silver Bells"
Silver Bells, Silver Bells
It's Christmas time on the QB
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
Soon it will be Christmas Day
City quilters
Busy quilters
Dressed in holiday style
In the air there's
A feeling of Christmas
Children laughing
People passing
Meeting smile after smile
And on every
Street corner you'll hear
Silver Bells, Silver Bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them sing
Soon it will be Opening day
Strings of street lights
Even stoplights
Blink a bright red and green
As the shoppers rush home
With their treasures
Hear the snow crunch
See the kids bunch
This is Santa's big scene
And above all
This bustle you'll here
Silver Bells, Silver Bells
It's Christmas time on the QB
Ring-a-ling, hear them sing
Soon it will be Opening day

Over the river and through the woods,
To grandmother's house we go;
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh,
Through (the) white and drifted snow!
To grandmother's house we go;
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh,
Through (the) white and drifted snow!
Over the river and through the woods,
Oh, how the wind does blow!
It stings the toes and bites the nose,
As over the ground we go.
Oh, how the wind does blow!
It stings the toes and bites the nose,
As over the ground we go.
Over the river and through the woods,
To have a first-rate play;
Oh, hear the bells ring, "Ting-a-ling-ling!"
Hurrah for Thanksgiving Day!
To have a first-rate play;
Oh, hear the bells ring, "Ting-a-ling-ling!"
Hurrah for Thanksgiving Day!
Over the river and through the woods,
Trot fast, my dapple gray!
Spring over the ground,
Like a hunting hound!
For this is Thanksgiving Day.
Trot fast, my dapple gray!
Spring over the ground,
Like a hunting hound!
For this is Thanksgiving Day.
Over the river and through the woods,
And straight through the barnyard gate.
We seem to go extremely slow
It is so hard to wait!
And straight through the barnyard gate.
We seem to go extremely slow
It is so hard to wait!
Over the river and through the woods,
Now Grandmother's cap I spy!
Hurrah for the fun! Is the pudding done?
Hurrah for the pumpkin pie!
Now Grandmother's cap I spy!
Hurrah for the fun! Is the pudding done?
Hurrah for the pumpkin pie!

Up on the rooftop/housetop reindeer pause
Out jumps good old Santa Clause
Down thru the chimney with lots of toys
All for the little ones
Christmas joys
Ho, ho, ho!
Who wouldn’t go!
Ho, ho, ho!
Who wouldn’t go!
Up on the rooftop/housetop
Click, click, click
Down thru the chimney with
Good Saint Nick
First comes the stocking
Of little Nell
Oh, dear Santa
Fill it well
Give her a dolly
That laughs and cries
One that will open
And shut her eyes
Next comes the stocking
Of little Will
Oh, just see what
A glorious fill
Here is a hammer
And lots of tacks
Also a ball
And a whip that cracks
Out jumps good old Santa Clause
Down thru the chimney with lots of toys
All for the little ones
Christmas joys
Ho, ho, ho!
Who wouldn’t go!
