I don't know if you can tell, but the leaves are held onto the quilt just by the sewing of the green veins, allowing the points of the leaves to curl up if they wish like a real leaf would.

Thanks everyone, I hated for them to not be shown. I was really happy with how they turned out. Parts of them are sort of 3D, or so I think. I want to explore doing more of that kind of thing. I bought an older book this week at a used book store that has something along that line.... For a later quilt or two?!?

i would have liked to have made more veining on the leaves, but I used the heavy 'Heat & Bond' and with that I had to stop and clean my needle off every few stitches or the thread stuck to the needle and no stitches were made.
