Nice job K-Roll!! Just goes to show, we must take care of ourselves! I am always hustling around, scurrying here and there, fretting about work.. your story shows just how important taking the time to slow down and take care, really is! Now you can have the time and energy for the things you love!~

DJMat.. I am loving the yellows! Great variety

I can't wait to see all the blocks when they arrive in my mail box! And then put them all together in to a wonderful friendship "pop o'spring" quilt top.

kroll - glad you were able to resist the bronchitis and pneumonia this year - I will have to keep your message and remind myself over and over. Bronchitis and pneumonia have been my achilles heel the past few years. Spent about 2 mos with it last year in May/June. Just have to really watch my breathing and jump into action and not try to wait it out.

I brought fabric with me to our daughters house. I am house and fur babysitting while she has gone to NOLA for the week. We had our Christmas early while son and DIL were here from SF. It was a little nice getting Christmas out of the way early and not having last minute rushing around.

Will at least try to get fabrics cut out even if I don't get any sewing done. She has one of my machines here so have it if I get really bored. Fabric is washed and ready to go.

DJ like your fabrics and blocks. I found a remnant from a dress I had smocked for my granddaughter that is a light green, thought it might make up a few blocks.

Wishing all a Merry Christmas -

Grrrr. I have yet to make this block turn out 12.5". The squares made from strips were cut 2.5" each, then sewn and subcut into 4.5. But after sewing them, they are each 1/8" too short. The HSTs are fine. I've measured my 1/4" seam with a seam gauge set at 1/4" and it's fine. Something's wrong, though. What could it be?

Okay, I remeasured every block. Appears my seams were closer to 3/8 than 1/4 on the strip pieces. So I decided to make another block and use scant 1/4 inch.

    That improved the thing.
