Hi kristijoy. All the swaps I've participated in have allowed different fabrics with the same pattern but I believe most people just make 4 identical blocks. I know that's what I do. I make a lot of applique but I plan to do some pieced blocks this time around. If you go to the fall block swap and check out the last page, you'll see the snowflake I make for my guild BOM. I plan to make 4 of them with a blue background.

Welcome to the fun!

Hi k-roll! The snowflake was applique. I added a straight stitch down the center of each "arm" in silver embroidery floss to add a bit of sparkle. I use heat n bond light for all my applique. My applique thread was light purple to add another winter frost affect.

Still trying to help out. Yes to pieced, winter fabrics, applique, or embroidery.

Sets of 4 can be exact fabric or you can go scrappy and use different fabrics. Your choice.

No DP9's, because, they don't really look right unless 4 are sewn together. If you only send in 4 quarters as a set, the quarter that someone gets just looks off balance. It's just a personal choice.

Judith and GracefulAnn thank you all for helping out, no toes stepped on, I invite anyone to help out with information all input is helpful. As answered in the other post penguins are definitely welcome anything you associate with winter should be fine. You can still add santa blocks too.

kristijoy welcome to the swap hope the ladies answered your guestions. The set can be all the same fabric or different fabric just keep the same pattern, in the fall block swap I ended up having to use different fabric on my corn blocks but did the same pattern.

NZQuilter, Sleepyhollow and rbweise hope you get to join use. Deecee please lurk all you want and tell your friends to check us out also.

I want to say Thank you all who have shown interest in joining I think we are going to enjoy ourselves.
