Default Another Repurposing - Video Cabinet to Hold FQs

I keep forgetting to post pictures of this cabinet! It was our old VHS video cabinet... I'm sure some of you remember these! It has three shelves in the interior, and three removable shelves inside each door. I can only use the top two door shelves because the lower two crush the fabric inside - and we can't have that, can we?

The first interior shelf holds my neatly folded FQs. The second shelf (the sloppy one!) holds FQs that have been partially used. The third shelf holds my collection of pre-printed panels. The door shelves are currently holding items that I need to sort and put away into the cabinet. I might end up removing those door shelves altogether because they don't serve much of a purpose... I think the cabinet would be better without them.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Nice cupboard! One of the doors might benefit from peg board mounted on it for your rulers?

DonnaC, that's a great idea for repurposing. I did something similar to a TV base cabinet which I converted to china storage in a small apartment. I had one full width shelf cut from thick used glass. Of course, the edges and corners were polished. As this shelf is positioned just above the cabinet bottom, I can easily see contents of both levels.

Tartan, I like the idea of a pegboard for rulers. :-)

For deep lower bathroom storage shelves, I either use a plastic drawer set up the depth of the cabinet or an oversized baking tray with rim. For some reason, I don't do a good job of standing on my head trying to find something in the back of a lower shelf unit.

Wish I had started quilting before I got rid of mine.
