Default Do you have this organizer?

Looking at this rolling organizer, on sale today, to use for thread and WIP and all those messy little things that accumulate. Wondering if it is sturdy enough. Looks as though it's made for scrapbooking stuff, but is is strong enough for other things?

It's on sale for $29.99 today at Michael's online, but goes for around $50 on other sites.

The 2 people that I know that had one weren't really satisfied with it. When I saw them, both were leaning and the drawers weren't going in & out successfully. Now, was it the fault of the unit or a problem with understanding how to put it together? I'd make sure I could bring it back if you don't like it, or design a cross bar on the back to stabilize it, or something like that.

For light things, it is fine. It isn't sturdy enough for heavier things.

Well I have 4 of these...last one at goodwill for $15.. Others at Joann's with coupon. One holds PIPs - projects in progress....another holds deboned shirts, sorted by color (vaguely), one just sort of odds and ends....and this last GW find is still waiting for a purpose.....but, you have to be careful not to overload.....the drawers are not really heavy duty so watch how much you put in.....or they will fall off their tracks.......I guess they were originally created for paper crafts.......but I just love the colorfulness of them!

Saw these at Sams club, can't remember the price. Been pining after one ever since. Just wasn't sure it was sturdy enough, or the drawers big enough. Glad to hear the comments here.

I've had mine for over a yr, maybe two. I use it for my emb thread to keep it organized and it works great. I wish I could get one with drawers about 1/2 in taller. The RA thread stands up nicely but some of the Jenny Haskins and Floriani has a few issues. Since none of the drawers are full I just lay them down when needed. It rolls nice and I have no problems with the drawers. If I could find one with deaper drawers I'd get another one.

I bought one many years ago I like all the drawers it has only mine is not
in the colors (only the opaque white).

For me it was a waste of money as the drawers didn't stay in the tracks
so I ended up having to buy lengths of 1/4" wooden dowels and gluing
them to each draw so that they don't drop into the drawers below.

But if I got one as a gift from someone I would put the dowels on the
drawers FIRST before doing anything else with it.

But I do like all the drawers it has. Just wish it was sturdier.

I have one similar to it, just not all the colors. I have all my quilting threads stored in them by colors along with small tools, etc. in the top drawer. Have it next to my quilt frame.
