Talking Having a fun quilting weekend

Now that I have my Quilting Room set up, I've been having lots of fun. It's so nice to finally have all my quilting things unpacked and in their place. In starting my quilting back up now that my quilting room is together, I took this holiday weekend to sandwich three of my completed quilt tops. It finally quit raining (though we had two trees come down across our driveway in the storm last night) and it was a gorgeous morning, warm temps with only a slight breeze, so I set up my folding tables on our porch and had at them. I was able to get all three of them done in the morning with no issues! I spray basted them and then laid them out in my quilting room with the fan on to let them dry completely, although I only spray lightly, so they were pretty much dry anyhow. I like to lay them out after basting, so if I don't quilt them right away, I don't worry about mildew from remaining dampness, or movement before the glue sets. Probably don't need to do that, but that's just me. I'll be starting to machine quilt them this week. Now to decide which one to start with....

Anyone else having quilting fun this weekend?

As for the trees, DH cut them up while I was working on my quilts on the porch. I volunteered to help, but all he needed was the chainsaw and the tractor to drag the pieces away! Thankfully they didn't cause any damage as they came down. (one tree hit the other tree and they came down in a tangle)

I like being able to walk away from a project and it’s still in the same spot when I go back. Enjoy your new space!

Thanks thimblebug6000! I put a post in on the thread. I had previously seen the title, but thought it was basically a quilt along for making the same project.

I went to my LQS for it's 10 year anniversary open house. I won a door prize! Don't know what but pick it up tomorrow. I bought fabric for a 3 yard quilt. Lots of babies in the extended family this summer.
