Thanks for courtesy suggestion tessagin. The large jug is out of the way. I happen to have the XXlg ziplock bags in my basement storage room. I think I'll go down there now and put my large projects in them. Thanks again. I have been working on my mess every day. I did just finish a 3 day stretch of nights which slows me down on working in my sewing room.

I've been carrying my embroidery floss in a ziplock baggy and I can never find the color i need next. So last night I took one of the scrap straps and made a carrier from it and some safety pins. That project will go faster now.

Then I emptied a project bag and put all the 2 1/2 inch strips into a jelly roll and put it into a fancy box that I had gotten at an auction. Then the batting strips were put away with the other battings. This organizing is working a treat. Everyday my craftroom looks alittle better.

Yesterday I took the hanging thrift store purchases that will be used for doll clothes and hung them in the closet. It's a little thing probably only took seconds but it helps the room look better and easier to work in.

Today I am 'putting things where they belong'! I have sewing/craft/quilting things in various places of the house for various reasons. They need to go to their places so I can find them when I need them. This is often hard for me to do because I easily get sidetracked.

I so get it sewextremeseams. I also have a habit of pulling out everything when I'm doing something and then not putting it back. Good luck staying organized.

Ladyelaine, I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine losing either of my sons. I totally did not see your post until a few minutes ago. Happy the move has given you a different view and busy with what need to be accomplished. Sending prayers to help you to continue getting through this and help your husband recover quickly. Glad you've become acquainted with your neighbor. Best stitches from the QB to you! Yeah, stole it from Paula D.

I'm very encouraged and inspired by reading about everyone's progress. A little here, a little there, 15 minutes a day makes a bigger difference in reality than in the mind. Let's keep the good work going! Today I did more scrap management before I started piecing a top.

I have been spending time in my little fabric corner working
on refolding fabric. Some of the fabric was on foam core boards,
and some was on full size comic board.

What was on foam core was either 1/4 yard, F8 or FQ in size, and
MOST of what was on the comic boards was 1/2 yard or more cuts.

So I pulled ALL that fabric off those boards and refolded it to fit on
the boards I declared for those sizes. I am getting down to the last
little bit that was out in "open" (unboxed or packed up). Next I will
move back to the bins of fabric to start working on them again.

But I REALLY REALLY REALLY need more shelves for my units, or I
won't be able to fold anymore fabric for the shelves.

Here are some pictures of what I have been working on lately.

I USED to have my bolts of fabric on this section, but I moved them
over to the unit that sits next to the smaller unit, and took the shelves
from that unit to add to this section (confused yet? LOL).

This is the above mention "little bit" that I pulled from the boards for
refolding.

Now here is the relocated bolts of fabric along with all the 1/2 cut
comic boards (used 13"-35" cuts of fabric).

Fabric isn't the ONLY thing I collect. Since I ran out of shelves to
add to my units I pulled out the glass shelves that I had ordered
by mistake. Until I can get more of the heavier solid shelves, decided
to display some of my "glass" collection at least the pieces that is
NOT boxed away.

THe amber glass is my FIRST and OLDEST collection. I started
collecting it when I was 15 years old and bought a set of oil lamps
from my best friend (more like a sister) when she was getting ready
to move out of state.

The blue "cobalt" glass is my newest collection of glass, and I only
started collecting it because my hubs surprised me one year for with
a Valentine's gift that I NEVER in my wildest dreams would have ever
would get. That gift was the BLUE PYREX bake ware. He seen a piece
being used on a show, and commented on what it was. I replied, oh
that blue baking dish? that is the blue pyrex. You can't find it anymore
wish I would have bought it when it was still available.

About 8-9 months later there was a delivery from UPS and my hubs
said "that will be for you" Low an behold it was 2 full sets of blue Pyrex.
Now anytime I find anything with cobalt blue glass I get it too.
