Default my new, repurposed quilt studio!

The extra bedroom in our home used to be my home office, my business office, and my quilting room. One day my DH got a bee in his bonnet to move all of the office stuff into the loft so I could have a dedicated sewing room (mostly because I had migrated into the loft, as well as the dining room!). It's finally 'done' and I sewed in it for the first time yesterday. I still have some things I need to paint, knobs need to be put on cabinets, but I'm so tired of painting, etc. I'll get to it at some point in the future!I Mod Podged this sign for my door, using scrap fabric that I had.I found this plaque at Hobby Lobby and it seemed perfect, since I tend to talk to myself while sewing. There were extra office cabinet units that I painted and distressed and my DH added 2x4s (which need to be painted) to raise it up for a cutting table. He had a piece of plywood that he put over the top. The blanket is for my toy poodle, who is never more than three feet from me at any given point in time! The quilt was given to me, already framed. I painted and distressed the frame. She bought it in 1988, so we have no idea when it was actually made. She also gave me the shelf, that I am using for cutting supplies.I had an old ratty bulletin board that I recovered with burlap I got on sale at JoAnn's.Artwork - the pink/orange flower my son painted for me when he was in 1st grade, the photo below one of my friends did in chalk of the darkness of space. I transferred the photo of the antique sewing machine onto a canvas, and the other framed saying? "If the crown fits, wear it!"My friend had this room divider in her garage, that her husband was begging her to get rid of. It was black. I painted and distressed it and then decoupaged the fabric onto it. You can also see my Ikea rolling cart.Another piece of furniture my friend gave me. I repainted an old bubble gum machine pink and put white/beige buttons in it. You can see a little bit of a strange Lego thing on the second shelf up. My son made it for me a couple of years ago. It's an M&M storage/dispenser. The box on the top is a drawer organizer and it was too wide for any of my drawers, so I am displaying my state thimbles on it.I didn't want a window shade or actual drapes, so I saw an idea like this on Pinterest and adapted it. I used white lacy clothing fabric for the back valance, and antique hankies for the front.Since I have multiple projects going at once, I painted/distressed an old picture frame that I got at The Salvation Army for $.45 and put fabric in it. I pleated it so it could hold index cards for my most current projects, listing thread color, stitch length and stitch number.

I can't post any more pictures, so if you aren't bored yet, I'm going to start a second post!

I have to steal that idea for the picture frame organizer. I knew there was a reason I held back from giving mine to the local thrift store!
